Like how painful will it be if a year from now we're sitting here wondering who our QB will be come September 2018 ? ...

Just incase you want to throw up: Daniel Snyder record as owner: 18 years 125 wins 162 loses.. With this guy anything is possible.

That's actually better than I was expecting. I figured we'd be at Raiders/Browns levels of futility.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
I'm trying not to overreact to everything that is going on (or not going on), but I can't help but think that next year we will be without a decent QB again, will have lost our two best receivers, will have a head coach (a good one IMHO) in his last year of a contract with no sign of an extension, McC The Savior out, a poor excuse for a defense still...how attractive is that situation?
If the plan is to never improve, to always have turmoil in the front office, and to keep the revolving door spinning, they are doing a great job and have for a long time. I just don't know how many more years I can support it... |

Can't wait for this process to be over 1 way or another. Nothing else is moving forward until this is resolved.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Me too, I'm over it. If Kirk wants to be here then he will sign a Long deal, if not and he is tagged, we might as well trade him if possible. He will walk after next season otherwise. I saw the same shit from KD last summer, Kirk wont be a Redskin much longer, call me negative nancy but I just have that gut feeling.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Well, we have about one more week to speculate. It's funny the emotions that we go through in situations like this. The initial thoughts, "No way this team won't give Cousins a long term deal." To, "Cousins is staying here whether it be through the tag or a long term deal!" Next, "I don't want to give up Cousins, but if we get two first round picks, maybe it could be for the best." And then finally, "At this point, I'm tired of hearing about it. Go or stay. I don't care anymore!"
One thing I will say fellas, the next few weeks will be quite interesting.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
Still the only thing that makes sense if we have turned the corner to being a football first franchise is a longterm deal. If that's what it's going to be, it ought to be done this week. I know deadlines make deals, but at this point you want to have his contract settled so you go into FA with a plan unhindered by speculation. We also have other contracts we ought to get done before the start of FA as well.

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
If I understood it correctly, the speculations won't end in 8 days: they'll probably tag him... and then we'll have to wait and see if they manage to sign a long term deal, or trade him, or if he just plays under the tag...

Re: Kirk Cousins 365 thread
If they tag him, you might as well figure he's gone, this year or next it won't matter. If they can't in their mind justify a long term deal off his body of work before Feb 28th, nothing will change between now and July.
