Starts with the QB.

I think Turner's strategy to run the ball turned the season around because he recognized the easiest path to victory rather than putting the ball in a QB hands.

The internal battle for Turner is the most talented personnel on offense is the receiving corp of Samuel, J Dot and Terry.

Bates should be the starting TE now. Go 3-wide with Bates at TE, and pound the fucking football, then use that to set-up quick play-action passes and the short passing game in general. All 3 of those WRs are great with the ball in their hands, give it to them, and let them eat.

Then mix in the occasional long-ball.

I really wish Heinicke knew how to run a read-option. That would be a huge weapon, and something that he should be good at, but he's not.

Agreed.

So if we cant call traditional 5 to 7 step drops bc of O line and QB ... why not call all those screens/bubbles/gimmick plays to get the ball in playmakers hands in space? We did that last year.

Call 5 slants to Terry a game.

McKissic was the X factor it sucks he is done. He was the best option for quick screens.

But yes we still got three guys who could do that and they should but Turner is a dipshit who won’t cater to what he has. He just keeps trying to run his version of a good offense regardless. I hate Turner.

Curtis Samuel was juking people left and right at the beginning of the season, I don't know how you don't use him in slants, screens, and intermediate passes.

Heinicke isn't great at getting the ball out quick, I think it's because his vision gets blocked frequently from being short. He also is seeming to want to see guys come open before throwing it, rather than relying on the timing and anticipation.

By the time Samuel gets the ball the defender has closed the gap.

If you can’t get the ball out on time for a quick screen, you have no business being employed as an NFL quarterback.
So if this is actually the case and TH cannot throw a quick screen effectively you need to put Howell in like three weeks ago.
