Haven't you heard. Guard is the new tackle in the NFL. It is the most important position on the line and maybe on the entire offense for that matter. The players are going to be in a rush to convert to a new 50 million dollar mansion.

Petitgout has experience playing guard, but if he comes here he will either end up being solid depth, or competing for the starting LG position.

Players with that ability are a prescious commodity in the NFL now days, and I know Bugel has always loved for his OL to be interchangable, espically at guard/center & tackle /guard. Having the ability to be versatile along the line enhances longevity in the league.

Remember Raliegh McKenzie? He could play any position on the line. In the Age of Injuries, you have to have a guy like that.

It's not out of the question to ask an offensive lineman, especially one of Petitgout's experience to shuffle around some.

He started his NFL career at Left Guard.

Does anyone know if that is where he played in college?

I think he would make a very good signing, probably start at left guard, but even as an all round back-up on the o-line, i'd be happy with him. Obviously not for Doc money but even a good bit above vet min i'd still be happy with him.
