Truthfully it may be time for J.T. to go on down the road. Espy will probably beat him out.

If we can get Keenan at a good price I am all for this, I still think that he can perform at a pretty high level.

Randle El is a solid #3, but as a #2 he doesn't scare anyone.

Thrash is a solid vet but again, he doesn't scare anyone and he's a #3 at best, probably closer to a #4 at this point in his career.

The reality of this is McCardell could step in and immediately be a very solid #3 guy and possibly a #2 if needed, a consistent vet who knows how to get open, knows how to play the game and can still play. Just 2 years ago he had 70 catches and 9 TDs for San Diego.

I wouldn't be against this move at all, I think he could be had for a reasonable price too.
I agree with you 100%! Lloyd and randle El may make a lot of $ but that does not mean they are productive NFL guys. Cause they are not as far as pass catchers. Randle El has more value cause of teams. thrash is a solid #3. But the reality is we only have one NFL legit WR and he is a little fragile if you ask me. I mean Moss' hamstring is already hurt and the season hasn't even begun yet. This is why I was screaming for us to try and move up and take CJ. So bring KM in here. I know he's old as dirt but it aint gonna hurt to bring in an old pro who knows how to get open. More competition hopefully means better play from everybody.

One reason why this isn't going to happen is you need your #3 or #4 to play teams. KM does not play teams.

Good, good I am trying to finish my portfolio to present to the head of the journalism department to see if I qualify for a scholarship. 534 pages been writing about football and basketball since I was 7. Almost done typing all of it. Man that was taxing.

I am fine. He wont command much of a bonus, if any, and he can push guys for a spot. If he can be a solid possesion guy then he already is an asset. I'd say Espy is gone probably. Thrash > Espy in terms of value.

He will be a key target in the red zone along with Chris Cooley.

What about long-term value? Adding Keenan to Thrash is just two cagey veterans at this point. But what's the upside of having them both? Mike Espy apparently had a pretty good minicamp and has potential to be a long term fix.
