I agree, and it wouldn't change for another 25. It's just that his usual grim reaperness was a little more grim this week.

Wasn't me, nor did I do it after the Pats game. Running up the score does not exist in pro football. It barley is applies to College. The only time it applies to college is when UF is playing Gardner Webb. Its obvious that there is a major talent on one team and not the other. For UF to score 60 to there 3 is running up the score. If its UF vs USC and UF scores 60 and USC scores 3 it is not because those second and third string kids deserve to score a td if they can against a team that is on there level. Pro football everyone is PROFESSIONAL. IF your fav team just happens to get anal raped then maybe some of those players and coaches are in the wrong profession.

Regardless what you think no team up by over 40 goes for it in the 4th quarter on 4th down. Unneeded and somewhat disrespectful, I would be ashamed if we ever did that to even te Cowboys because I know Gibbs along with most NFL coaches are better than that

Possible some other coaches may feel indifferent, but its obvious the Skins defense was not up to the task on stopping anything and made it worse for Redskin fans to take.

You are way too polarized as a fan to have an educated debate with. Obviously our D wasn't up to par.

This isn't about how fans take it. Pats have done this all year long and its wrong. Even Phillips would most likely kick a FG in that situation up 40, its just not right. This has nothing do with Cowboys vs Redskins, why does it always boil down to that for Dallas fans? Grow the hell up.

which we've had more than a few opportunities to do over the last couple of years...

arent we 3 of the last 4? Our loss today will only make the dallas losses to us hurt them that much more in the long run...

Re: Classless Coach Belichick

I don't see why running up the score is the same as "doing what he needs to" or being "all about winning." Did Gibbs, Walsh, Knoll, Landry, Lombardi, etc. do that? No. The Pats won, and by a lot. Adding extra TDs on top serves no purpose but to humiliate your opponent. This is sports--there's still something called "sportsmanship." The classy move is to kick the FG--and it's not like they need more practice scoring or converting.

The point is that all of the other coaches I know of who had dominant teams did not do this--why is Belichick more about winning than all these ledgends when he does it? Classless, however a skilled coach he is.

(BTW, Do you think Dungy would do that? Not a chance--he's a class act. He's got an undefeated team as well, and they're the SB champs--you don't have to run it up on folks to be a winner in this day and age.)

doesn't make it right...

It just doesnt instill confidence in your team... You could say something like "they are an excellent football team and were gonna have to come out and execute our gameplan perfectly"

instead of basically saying "we're screwed... we cant think of any way to beat them and neither can anyone else"

It was like he was preemptively taking heat off of the players for a loss that hadn't happened yet, and then with Carlos Rogers pulling a Man-Ram talking about how this game wasn't the end of the world and 4-3 is still good before the game... I kinda felt like that was the tone set, and that starts at the top.
