Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
If he gets the accountability for the loss, then let's do total accountability and determine where the team would be (both in these last two games and this entire season) without Jason Campbell back there.
Fact is, we've been in position to win two games against tough divisional opponents despite huge mental lapses by skill players on both sides of the ball. We've been in games that we probably wouldn't have been in had Jason Campbell not engineered solid drives at the end of them. Would you guys rather that he not have the opportunity to go for the win? I mean, then he could say it wasn't his fault.

I almost feel like people just want to bitch about Jason Campbell. If he hadn't brought us back at all, I almost feel like most people wouldn't have blamed him for anyhitng. But since he couldn't complete the UPSET i feel like people are casting him off.

Some interceptions are excusable, balls get deflected or dropped or tipped. He wasn't under pressure in this game or the dallas game when he threw it to the defender. Throw the damn ball away and stop the clock. He has a long way to go and so do we.....season over!

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
It's threads like this one that are the reason I rarely ever post on this board anymore. This some of the stupidest commentary I've ever seen from a group of fans. This team was, maybe an 8-8 team coming into the season. We see Campbell making his 21st career start and somehow people now know how his career will play out.
I'm done with this...it's a good thing "knowledgeable" is no longer in the logo of this site because it's gone downhill in the last few years...everyone have a good season. I'm finished. |

He is accountable. So are Portis and Moss. Our best players let us down. As I've said all along we are just an average football team.

He is young so i won't hold it against him too much but that doens't mean that that he isn't accountable. on the plus side, eli is still throwing 4 int games. |

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
I do want to say that I don't think he should get a free pass. He made some bad decisions and it's cost him two games. But a lot of young QB's make bad decisions, and most of the time bad decisions by young QB's are death by a thousand papercuts, to the point where your team just flat out gets killed.
Jason's mistakes have cost the team games, but only after his *good* decisions gave the team a chance to win them in the first place.

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
Ramsey is also a vet and a journeyman player. Ramsey was always and will always be a backup because of the fact he has a bomb of an arm and yet can't hit water when he falls out a boat. Campbell's only been around for 3 years and this is his first year actually starting an entire season. Come on. The guy might not be a diamond in the rough, but he's certainly not backup material.

Re: Is Jason Campbell Accountable for this Loss?
I like when people get pissed at what I or others have to say. It is called a discussion and it should inspire thought and emotion. We are passionate about our team and entitled to say how we feel. I will not insult the opinion or intelligence of others. I will voice how I feel about a topic. Stop babying Jayson. He is a professional and paid well. No matter how well I do my job, if I screwed up as much as he did I would be I would be held accountable. When the game was on the line he failed. Thank God we have a defense.

F off with the Ramsey comparisons. He doesn't even belong in this conversation.
