I kept waiting for him to throw out little chestnuts like, "you know, there are 4 downs in a possession, unless a team makes a first down, then they get 4 more downs" and "Tony Romo plays quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys."
And how about BG trying to goad Collinsworth into a debate about the NFLN? He brought up the whole NFLN Comcast squabble and Collinsworth told him he was on his own. Then he brought it up latter and Collinsworth was just silent. Guess he doesn't know who signs his checks. And who promos a graphic that they might show later in the game? "There's a great graphic we have about the QB's taken before Romo, we'll show it to you later."

Have you seen any video of that online per chance?

And I think they had a graphic promoting the upcoming Bears vs. Redskins game and made no mention of Sean Taylor.

Actually, they do display it. It's those yellow rectangles in the middle. Yes, they are annoying and stupid. A 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th will do just fine. No need to be fancy.

Seems as though you may not be aware of Tom Flores or former #1 pick Jim Plunkett!

No, I remembered them. I just choose not to acknowledge them because of a certain game down in Tampa a few years back

Re: Packers vs. Cowboys

The refs screwed the Pack yesterday. Besides the bad pass interference call that led to 7 points, did anyone else notice that they didn't call a penalty on TO for excessive celebration when he threw popcorn on himself. I thought the NFL rules barred the use of any props during a TD celebration. That was pretty hard to miss.

I did not see the Bengals game but did they throw a flag on Chad Johnson when he grabbed the television camera? Did he get fined by the NFL for using a prop?

T.O. got fined $7,500 by the NFL 2 weeks ago for waving a touchdown towel on the sidelines. The NFL reasons stated that it was NOT NFL sanctioned memoriabilia. But yet only a few days after he was fined for it, NFL Network was using a film clip of T.O. waving the same "unofficial" towel to "plug" the game last night!

I ask you, where is the consistency in this issue?

I will bet we will see a fine by the NFL on Wednesday next week on T.O. for the popcorn incident. I would be shocked if he was not fined.

He says he'll be ready for next Sunday's game. The 10 day rest should help.
