I forget who posted it, but credit to the Warpath member who legitimately listed out our picks:

1-?
2-McNabb, not a win now only mentality, certainly seems like they want him for 3 yrs (no extension aside)
3-Jarmon, good to very good supplemental pickup last year before he got hurt, also on VC's watch
4- ?
5-?+Carriker
6:vomit:
7-?

so really, even though it's a bummer to only have 1 pick in a deep draft, I don't think saying win now mentality caused us to be short picks is accurate

So far the press that has said Allen & Shanny love to keep everyone guessing are right on. And they've done a great job of keeping things under wraps. No one saw the McNabb deal coming.

NFP and the AOL were reporting it. Sorry for not providing links earlier, i was on my cell phone. I suppose I should have used the term "outlets" as opposed to "sources."

Report: 'Skins still trying to land Bradford | National Football Post

Sources: Redskins Still In Play for Bradford -- NFL FanHouse

seems crazy to me though as we would evidently have given up a 2nd rounder on McNabb just to have him as a 1-year rental. we'd be fools not to trade him if we signed Bradford.

I smell smoke, not a real move. It is easier to create a trade down if we tell others that we are a wildcard who might not do the expected.

Re: Draft News for the Warpath

The first link references the 2nd link and the 2nd link's most concrete line says:"One of the sources said that Washington was the only team still in the mix to trade for Bradford"

This the viral media spiral i hate. One source, anonymous and very obtuse, has a point that makes a juicy story, and it gets picked up and repeated until it seems to be coming from everywhere.

I'll see you one source and raise you a stlouis reporter tweet

NFP "source" is just a link to Fanhouse, so it's not multiple sources. It's really just one guy.

The real conversation right now with the Rams is about their 1st pick....in the 2nd round

(right now word is Berry is our pick if we stay at #4, so I guess they think they can get their OT at the top of the 2nd? And/or add Jammal Brown?) Still plenty of time to go though

Re: Draft News for the Warpath

Maybe they'll package Haynesworth and Rocky along with the 4th pick? Just speculating?

Schefter just confirmed that he doesnt see this happening as the Rams are asking too much for the rights to Bradford. What I dont get is what some Rams beat writer allegedly said on ESPN - He used the analogy of a guy going into buy a suit (Bradford) and can't make his mind up so while he's waiting they get him to buy a tie(Carriker). How can the team's beat writer be dumb enough to not know we've been pursuing Carriker for a while. I don't think any teams beat writers have the slightest clue of whats going on.

I also still don't see what the love affair with Bradford is - he has alot of potential, but no one thinks he could be ready to start right away and i dont think you can spend the #1 overall pick on a guy you dont expect to start (and play at a decent-to-above average level) immediately.

Let’s start this day off with a bang, shall we?

Could Bradford be heading to Washington?
AP

Less than one month after trading for Donovan McNabb(notes), the Washington Redskins may not be done addressing the quarterback position. Per a report from Dan Graziano of AOL Fanhouse.com, the Washington Redskins are still in discussions with the St. Louis Rams regarding a deal for Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford.

Graziano cites sources who tell him that the ‘Skins are still in the hunt for Bradford...
that's the first link which builds a whole story based on Fanhouse story which builds on an anonymous source which the NFP refers to as sources, plural...

Wow...that would seem kind of out of left-field if Okung and Williams are still on the boards as it is projected to be the case. What about this scenario -- Redskins show everyone they are not bluffing and pick Clausen. Then you've got Cleveland, Buffalo and possibly Oakland who suddenly become trade partners to whom we can send Clausen for Okung/Williams and picks?

Are we going to have an official draft thread in the main forum or in here?

PURE SPECULATION:
What if the Rams really were hoping that they could get a team to pull the trigger on Bradford, and now since nothing came about, they end up going with a DT (Suh). Then at 4, we are able to trade down because a team definitely wants Bradford at that point, and we are more pick hungry/willing to deal! I would find that kind of funny
