Re: WP: Haynesworth will skip minicamp, wants trade
I for one think this is a great thing.
The age of the "me first" attitude at Redskin Park is over. Haynesworth has terribly misplayed his hand. Management has no choice, but to roast him over the coals and in doing so they will drive home the new regimes direction. Discipline, commitment and teamwork. Fat fuck lazy bitch ass head cases beware! |

Shame of it all is that he's good, really really good. One of the best in the biz. And he can dominate from anywhere on the line if he wanted to.

Re: WP: Haynesworth will skip minicamp, wants trade
Maybe some of you cap guys can tell me why didn't they just cut his fat ass before he took the 20 mil in April? There is no cap so why not just cut our losses since we didn't give up anything to get him.

Re: WP: Haynesworth will skip minicamp, wants trade
He is good when he wants to be so that's what?? He plays 35 plays or less a game and is effective on probably 40% or less of them. If you really break it down he is sooooooooooooooooooooo not worth the money.

Re: WP: Haynesworth will skip minicamp, wants trade
It's not a cap issue. It's the precedent it would have set in cutting him. Plus he is a very valuable commodity, and if we keep him from playing against us, it's still a pyrrhic victory. Why let him go to Minnesota, for example, and get nothing for him because we cut him. We have his contract, so any other team has to come through us if they want him. Apparently no one did badly enough, because according MS his agent was given a free door to find a suitable trade partner up until he accepted that 21Million dollar check. Now suit up, or shut up. I would be just as happy to see him not play this year if he isn't wearing Burgundy and Gold.

If he isn't dependable how good can he be?

Re: WP: Haynesworth will skip minicamp, wants trade
This is the part I hate. Don't diminish his skills because he's an idgit off the field. He played second most out of any of our DL and I know he several times just stopped the OL push so everyone else could do their thing. It's just a shame he is so much of a me first kinda guy, instead of like Fletch or Phillip Daniels. I hope Maake gets healthy and we don't miss AH at all.

Re: WP: Haynesworth will skip minicamp, wants trade
Yea right....F*ck you Fat Al! You POS!
Report: Haynesworth will show up for training camp Posted by Mike Florio on June 16, 2010 2:46 PM ET Despite his absence from a mandatory minicamp, recalcitrant Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth reportedly will show up for training camp when it opens on July 29. If, of course, he's still on the team. The report comes from Chris Russell of 106.7 The Fan, who cites an unnamed NFL source. But Haynesworth won't be showing up because he's finally seen the light. Instead, Russell reports that Haynesworth hopes to avoid potential litigation with the team, which would have a better argument when it comes to trying to get money back from the player if he doesn't show up for training camp. As we've separately heard, Haynesworth's advisers believe that his only consequence for failing to show up for the mandatory minicamp is a fine in the neighborhood of $10,000. So if/when he shows up, he may be acting like another player from another NFC East team five years ago. We can only hope that Haynesworth won't eventually be doing shirtless sit-ups in his driveway.

Re: WP: Haynesworth will skip minicamp, wants trade
Well exactly. My point being that you have a guy like Kedric Golston, for example, who has to work his ass of (and does) to be respectable on the field and make the occasional big play. Really KG is on the field through a bit of talent but really moreso sheer determination and pride. And he knows that he has to work hard to be on an NFL field.
But then you have a guy like Haynesworth who can be, and has shown to be, so dominating when he's on the field and committed. And it's like he doesn't even recognize or appreciate how good he is, and how consistently great he could be.

Re: WP: Haynesworth will skip minicamp, wants trade
You can always give back the money, Albert. You get what you want. The team gets what it wants.
However, I will say that the dude(s) who gave him some false promises to get him to sign the contract also deserve some blame.
