If he's not the LT of the future, we're going to need someone better than Jamaal Brown anyway to handle the position. So after they fidget around for a bit, I hope the final product looks like your line above, hopefull with Rinehart winning the job over BMW.

As for the depth. This is my favorite part of the line, no longer will we have to rely on D'Anthony Batiste or Will 'Danger Jason Campbell' Robinson. Let's look at the contenders. Kory Lichtensteiger - A fourth round pick by Shanahan two years ago that was cut because he didn't fit Denver's new Power Blocking scheme. It's not uncommon to find starting Centers in rounds 3-5. He'll eventually replace Rabach. Selvish Capers - Projected as high as the second round. Has all the physical tools to succeed in a zone blocking scheme, and now he'll most likely have a little more time to develop. Some of Shanahan's best lineman have come from the 7th round of the draft. Eric Cook - Love his size. Played Center, Guard, and LT in college. Again Shanahan has found guys that can play up front in the 7th round before. I wouldn't expect him to play this year but wouldn't be scared if he was forced into duty. Artis Hicks - Solid veteran that can play Guard or Tackle. Chad Rinehart - Apparently started to show promise last year before he got injured. It'll be interesting to see how he plays this year. He's certainly got the athleticism Shanahan likes seeing how he played LT last year. At the same time he could easily get cut but thats because more then anything we're deep at OL this year. Edwin Williams - Might be the Taylor Jacobs of the offensive line in that he was considered great in practice. However at the same time he did earn praise last year and could easily make the final roster Stephon Heyer - I'm not to high on him anymore especially with our situation at Tackle now but the fact of the matter is he has played well in the past and he does have starting experience. If that isn't depth I don't what is. Either way the offensive line is fixed from a talent standpoint. Now the only things left is to see how fast everyone can gel. I wish Buge's got a chance to coach this line, God knows he deserved a group like this.
