Consider this, the Jets are currently being investigated because Rex Ryan visited Sanchez at an unofficial practice organized by Sanchez. The practice itself was legal but the coach being there was not. The NFL is very strict when it comes to matters like this.
Edit; Never mind. The terms of the suspension depends on the player and the nature of the crime. Santonio Holmes for example is simply banned from practice and regular season games. However he may participate in everything else. Ben Rothelisberger on the other hand is banned from the team facility.
After reading this it looks like Vincent Jackson is in the same boat as Big Ben.
