not only that, but they're without two starting defensive lineman from last year. Osi and Barry.

If they win though this year, it's going to be with offense.

That defense is still very talented up front, but injuries and poor drafting is making that pass defense trend towards ugly. Their only good players in the back seven are Michael Boley and whatever Kiwanuka and Kenny Phillips have developed into. That's just not very good, by any stretch.

I don't think we're good enough to challenge for the NFC East title, but there's definitely room for an up-and-comer to make noise this year. In other words, the path to a surprise playoff berth is there, so long as the Redskins can stay out of their own way.
