When the Redskins were last in the NFCE not a word and hardly mentioned unless there was something to show worth laughing at. Now that they are leading the NFCE, the Skins are fake and won't last. Grossman is not a QB. The media makes excuses for two teams we beat outright.

and it's still the Romo show. Our only media coverage is Hall talking about hitting their beloved Romo.
Well, perception is your reality I guess.

Well in the past two weeks, including today, Rex, Cooley, and Rak have been guests on ESPN talking about our hot start

No, your wrong there, the media would have him on ever network to talk about how the Skins targeted him and the Cowboys would be pushing for a fine from the league in regards to Halls statement. Then we would see him each week talking about his recovery and what he's doing to try to get back on the field.

Awsome, then I stand corrected. However are you refering to ESPN TV or are you refering to ESPN radio? Cause they are always on the radio. I'll admit if it was TV I missed it.

True, I'd rather Hall just keep his thoughts to himself and just go out an play ball.

By publicly stating his intentions, and considering the NFL's stringent policies on protecting players, Hall has disclosed intent. And he will be watched closely.

I know and understand that targeting an injury is common practice in the NFL, but to go out and publicly state the intention was not the best of decisions.

Now any hit, whether intentional or not that could be called into question will be heavily scrutinized by the officials and the league. And he could be setting himself up for hefty fines or even a suspension.

I'm not talking about ESPN 980, I'm talking about SportsCenter, First Take, NFL Live, PTI

Actually it is the Cowboys Organization that should be put under scrutiny for playing Romo in the first place. If he has a fractured rib and a "Punctured" or "Collapsed" lung (BS) then it is on the Cowboys and the NFL if he gets injured. Not D. Hall.

See when D. Hall lines up for a blitz, his job is to go after the QB. He cant be fined or flagged for that. And to avoid helmet to helmet contact he will aim for the number on the jersey.

If Romo is on the field Monday Night he is considered fit for play and fair game. I believe Romo has bigger problems (K.O.) to worry about than D. Hall.

Putting Romo in is a liability to the Cowboys only. And in the end, can only reflect bad on the Cowboys organization if Romo goes out.

Yeah but the impact of that is minuscule compared to this. Sure it "pissed off" Darnell Dockett, but he didn't play that pissed off. When your name is as big as D.Hall's, and you start talking about your intent to injure Tony Romo further, that not only catches their attention, even though they know we would do it anyway, it catches the national media's attention, and also fyi in case you aren't aware we're playing on Monday night, which gets 10 times as much attention as a 1 pm Sunday game.

It's not a big deal if we go out and win in the end, but if we lose all we're going to hear is "well they talked some shit but they didn't back it up, as usual. We're going to have to put up all broadcast hearing about D.Hall and you know the league is going to take the first opportunity to fine him if they see any type of play where it looks like Hall is going for his ribs.

Looks like Tony is slated for a flak jacket and a painkiller shot if he plays.

Dallas Cowboys' Tony Romo to get CT scan to check lung, sources say - ESPN Dallas

You missed my point.....I agree with you 1000000%. If you put a player on the field, you put him at risk regardless of current injury. You are absolutely correct.

My point was simply that Hall went public with his intentions, so that brings any hit under scrutiny by the officials and the league. Regardless of any actual intent on the given play from scrimmage.

Point being, that now, with that public statement out there, the league and the officials will be watching Hall very closely is all I am saying and any hit, regardless of intent could, stress COULD result in Hall getting disciplinary action.

If he would have kept his mouth shut, then no worries. But its out there now and he cannot "undo" it.

Regardless, still pretty bold talk for a guy who has a grand total of 1 career sack in an 8 years.

Haven't checked the stats but I bet that sack is with the Redskins. It's not uncommon to see D.Hall blitz every once in a while either.

Re: D.Hall says he's targeting Romo's ribs

isnt it illegal to lead with your helmet to a defenseless player?

defenseless player either being
1) qb who hasnt established himself as a runner [i.e. tuck the ball and start running]
2) wr who hasnt established himself as a runner yet
3) punter or kicker

i dont see the big deal with what hall said, the man likes to talk. but like rex said to him, hall doesnt like to tackle. he usually does a kinda side arm graple o-lay thing if the runner is coming straight at him free from other defenders ..which is what he should do since hes a speed corner and not pull a landry-jacobs incident.

looking forward to some pain monday night.

Re: D.Hall says he's targeting Romo's ribs

F the flags, F the ref's/NFL protecting Romo, F getting your panties in a bunch over this. It really isn't that big of a deal to me. I could see if he said I'm going low on him to tear his knee up. He said his ribs are hurting, I'm gonna hit him in his ribs. What is wrong with that. Should he have said we're not going to target Romo's ribs, we're better than that. I'll grab him and hope the ref calls it a sack ?

Just enjoy the entertainment of the whole thing. If they lose, it won't be because of what Hall said about Romo's ribs, even though I'm sure many will attribute the loss to that though.

I said all that to say F Dallas and I hope they put his ass out the game.

The "punishment" by the league : "It's like getting a ticket for going too fast on a road a week ago and they changed the speed limit today"

yeah reminds me of when some saints defenders said basically what hall said and the league sent out a statement in response warning the saints players before the game . .
