Peyton Manning Kevin Kolb Mark Sanchez Chad Henne Matt Flynn Brian Hoyer Kyle Orton Matt Leinart I didn't put Sam Bradford on the list because Fisher noted him as a main reason he chose St. Louis over Miami. But the Manning decision will impact at least 3-4 teams. Let's say for example Manning is released, signs with Arizona who trades Kolb to the Browns meaning they are no longer in play for RGIII. Or the scenario that SS put out there that the Jets sign Manning, then trade Sanchez here. Until March 8, the QB derby is all speculation. If Manning is free then many doors open.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
I've stated many times that my preference is to trade up for RGIII and sign a lower level free agent or keep Grossman to back him up. As for plan B, I'd rather sign Henne than Flynn or Hoyer and draft Tannehill or Foles in the 2nd round. My wild speculation is if the Colts retain Manning then Luck forces a trade of the #1 pick because he doesn't want to sit behind Manning and we go up to get him.

Manning will convince the Colts that they need to draft Blackmon after they lose Garcon and Wayne in FA The Rams, already set at QB, will shore up their offensive line with Matt Kalil The Vikings will forgot to turn in their pick and will not draft anyone at 3 The Browns will take RG3 The Bucs facing Cam Newton, Drew Brees, and Matt Ryan 6 times a year will lock up Morris Claiborne as Aqib Talib leaves for Tennessee and Ronde Barber retires The Redskins take Andrew Luck at #6!!!!!

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
I find the differing perceptions between Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford interesting.
Other then McCoy playing in a much more difficult division their career production this far has been similar if not identical. Yet everyone in this forum (and beyond) seems convinced that the Browns want to use the 6th pick or move up to replace him. Yet very few or none seem to think that Rams sitting at No.2 will replace Bradford. Must be good to be perceived as a franchise QB. |

The only way I don't think RG3 is going to be there at third overall is if the Rams are willing to take him (and start him) at no. 2 overall.
