Re: Giants Post Game Reactions
Yes!! lets fire everybody including Bill callahan!! lets get Gruden gone now!! Hell I would fire him before the philly game!! Lets clean house and start over..lets give the new coach 3 games to prove himself and if he does not win lets fire him!!!! in all honesty this type of thinking is what has killed the redskins so far! 1 bad game against the Giants who really should be 3 and 0 ..oh wait they had coaching blunder at end of a game..sheez..they need to fire coughlin !! ..he should have not even been on the sideline of the redskin game..what was the Giants owner thinking?? I would take Gruden and staff over the cowboys and eagles situation..what the redskins need is to continue to play hard and get BETTER players and depth..the plays gruden called were there all night ..play calling was not the issue. turnovers..special teams..missed plays they are what happened! please lets stop this nonsense about firing the coach !

"But for Gruden the change stems from anointing him as the starter in the preseason and giving him a chance to develop as the starter by performance, not through injury. " This. It has been three games imo. Let him have a chance before they give up on him, and in a perfect world we win enough during his maturation that we not only stay in the division race, but also so we all stay sane and stop calling for everyones heads. |

U would take gruden and staff over over Dallas? Dallas o and d coordinators are probably the best in the league...anybody have a better 2? Not off the top of my head. I don't understand what plays were there all night? Are u talking about the one under throw to Reed? What plays there all night essential lead up to 6 points in 3 full quarters of play. 4 quarter was garbage time...game was essential over. If plays are their all night, 6 points that's it. gruden and o staff is completely absolved? I'm lost. You need to think back to the second half of the Miami game and much of the second half of the Rams game. This isn't just the embarrassment of Thursday night.

The Redskins fan base is like the politics in DC. Half the fan base who like Kirk are also pulling for Jay to succeed. The other half that still pull for Griffin want Jay fired in hopes their beloved one will play again. I for one think we need stability and need to stay the course otherwise we will repeat the last 20 years of losing.

There were several, and i mean several wide open pass plays that were there besides the underthrow to Reed through the first three quarters. No matter how much you hate Gruden you have to have seen that? And yes he would be absolved for playcalling due to missed execution by Cousins. Cousins absolutely has made those throws in the past. Lets stop this nonsense that Cousins cannot throw 30 yards down the field because he is too weak, and Gruden should know better to ask Cousins to pull off such a monumental task. Lol. He did not execute. He had an off night. At this point in time though he is Grudens best option and depending on the defense you face on a week to week basis u r going to have to pass the ball sometimes. Edit: and before someone says "yeah but not 50 times" 20 of them were in desperation time. |

The....Conspiracy factor is unreal on the Robert deal. Many, many callers to the local shows rant and rave (sorry Rave) that he was not given sufficient opportunities......not given the "good" playbook......not given the starting players on the field...it's crazy.
I have really tried to hold out hope for Robert as I am a fan. But he shows no indication of getting it done...next man up

Anybody looking to fire the HC at this point is advocating going down the awful path we've been on for too long. What part of patience don't you understand? I'm glad that Scot is doing the evaluating here, and not a bunch of half baked would be scouts, coaches and general managers on a fan forum. I love y'all though, HTTR! |

What is RG3 the worst at? Straight drop back rhythm offense. What did Jay call for RG3? Exactly what he is worst at. This is not a defense of RG3, its a criticism of Gruden (even though most on this board are going to take it as a defense of RG3). To many people want to say if Gruden has the right players, he can succeed. Yet, there are hundreds of coaches that if they had the right players, they could also. Thats not exactly a ringing endorsement for Gruden. I would like a coach that can say this isnt working, let me try something else. He clearly saw KC struggling against the giants but decided if it didnt work the first 12 times, maybe it would the 13th. Yes, KC missed open receivers, but as a coach you have to see that he is struggling and make alterations. Gruden either cant or wont. Im not saying fire him now, thats pointless. But, if by the end of the year, he cant break that single mindedness that he has shown in 2 years here and however many years as the OC of the Bengals, then yes, I consider it a problem. I cant help but wonder what McC thinks about that also. But I am still putting my faith in McC. Whatever he decides is what I am rolling with. He had a solid first offseason here and he needs to be given the time to do what he does. If he thinks he can get Gruden the players to make it work, then im going with it. |
