Re: Chan Gailey hired as Buffalo Bills coach
bills fans or at least the ones I have meet all some really cool and passionate about their team. Sad they can't get anyone to coach or play up there.
How long until we see LA Bills?

Re: Chan Gailey hired as Buffalo Bills coach
I think Chan Gailey is a very sharp and flexible OC.
The job he did with Tyler Thigpen a 3rd string QB on a lousy Chiefs team in 2008 was imo the best coaching by an OC that year. 14 Games 2,608 yards 18 TDs 12 Ints G. Newman Lowrance/Getty Images The Chiefs have averaged 22.5 points in four games with QB Tyler Thigpen running the spread offense. Kansas City Chiefs turn to spread offense - ESPN |

Re: Chan Gailey hired as Buffalo Bills coach
It's a shame about Buffalo, I know several Bills fans and they are as good as it gets. But does anyone really think they will still be in Buffalo after Ralph Wilson passes? Doesn't that long term uncertainty have to be one of the factors scaring people away?

I will say that I do think Norv has earned the right to keep his job, at least for one more year. They never should have fired Marty though, that was unjust. |

Yeah, what was their record that year 13-3 14-2. What our fans would do for a season like that.

Marty and the GM there - - AJ Smith - - did not like each other to the point where a power struggle ensued. The stakes were "loser leaves town"; neither party really wanted to work with the other guy any longer than absolutely necessary. Ownership chose the GM; Marty hit the bricks and took his payout. The reason Norv got an extension is that Norv and the GM have not become mortal enemies...

Re: Chan Gailey hired as Buffalo Bills coach
This year I'll give Norv the benefit of the doubt. If the kicker didn't miss 2 kicks, they win. Also, If Rivers didn't force the ball down filed while in his own endzone the Jets wouldn't of had such a short filed when they went in for the go ahead score.

I just have a hunch that Gailey/Bills FO will go try to get Vick or draft a Tebow. He's gotten the best results from non-traditional offenses i've ever seen. From Slash in Pittsburgh to Thighpen in KC. |
