Not exactly sold on H.B. Blades or McIntosh for that matter. But linebackers always look better when there's a decent line in front of them.

Rinehart and Heyer have to earn their starting roles. We can't just give them roles. I would make a play for a center in free agency, and leave the rest of the line be after releaseing Rabach. I would then make a concerted effort to put a lot of responsibility on our young guys in the offseason, and see who can handle it and earn their way into the starting lineup.
I agree. Kendall has been our only consistent O-lineman this year.

If we can trade down and get an extra pick AND get Mack, I would say that is a very good move on our part. I would be happy with that.

Really good year to earn a last place schedule though, means we'll have St. Louis and Detroit again next year. They could actually pick one-two in the draft this year.

Re: Draft Picture Update, Bengals Aftermath

Hey, we hold all the tiebreakers now! So if we get to 9-7...

ah, forget it.

Anyway, the playoff picture, if Philly wins tomorrow, goes something like this:

1) Win out
2) Dallas must lose to Baltimore
3) Tampa must lose to San Diego and Oakland
4) Atlanta must lose to Minnesota and St. Louis
5) Chicago must lose to either Green Bay or Houston

IF Philly loses tomorrow, either No 3 or No 4 (but not both) can be replaced by "Philadelphia must beat Dallas".

Yay for totally impossible odds!

I don't know what's worse, losing to Cincinnati and St. Louis in the same season while combining for 5 fumbles lost or having to rely on St. Louis and Oakland to make the playoffs

So, we'll probably be drafting somewhere in the middle of the round. Discuss potential first round draft picks here.
I'm hoping they "draft" a GM that knows what he is doing Vinny needs to go away perhaps a career in radio this ass hat's ....picking up and drafting of underachievers needs to stop now!

Looks like the Redskins need more help then just other teams losing in the next two weeks....coulda....woulda....shoulda.....this season was over four weeks ago...too bad I thought this team had something going for itself..

I remember a season or two ago, Ray Lewis wanted a big DT for the Ravens, since their defense had not been that great the previous season. The Ravens got Ngata in the draft and it help with their play...especially this season since he's had a season or two under his belt. I feel that the same situation applies to our team. We have good DEs, but I'm not sold on our DTs. Griffin was good a season or two ago, but he has health issues and is getting old. I don't have much faith in Golston or Montgomery, and Alexander is good, but not dominant. I feel that a DT like Haynesworth would do wonders to our team. We need someone up the middle that can push the opponents o-line and disrupt both the pass and run. Good defensive teams like the Titans, Giants, and Vikings, all have strong DTs.

Kendall has arthritic knees and is a twelve year vet. Do you really expect him to play two more years?
