Re: 79 Mock Drafts: Sam Bradford still Redskins projected choice
Something that just hit me now is that the argument to draft a QB at No. 4 is identical to the BPA argument.
I.e. we don't have a pressing concern at quarterback, but if a franchise guy is available at number four, we should take him and not think twice about it. I agree with the logic. But that's the BPA argument that we always poked Vinny for, and a lot of people are using the same logic to suggest that Bradford/Clausen should be the pick. /off-topic rant.

What do you expect us to do with a 6'6 tackle in the Ravens-Redskins intersquad basketball tournament? Jared Gaither is 6'9, we still don't have anyone to cover him!!!!

Didn't know where to put this so thought I would put it here. This is Mike Mayock's early release of the top draft prospects.
Despite injury, Bradford tops list of QBs in initial prospect rankings |

They finally went up against a team with a solid O-Line (not great like the Jets), a good defense, and a franchise QB and basically couldn't keep up once the second half started. And by the way they should have lost to the Chargers. I mean great story that a gritty team like them won but if Nate Kaeding makes 2 of those kicks the Jets are going home a week early. The Jets success next year will depend heavily on Sanchez becoming an 80+ QB. Make no mistake they worked for what they got but they still had a lot of help along the way. We will add O-Lineman through the draft. Possibly as many as 3 if BA's draft record holds up. It's just that everyone shouldn't be surprised if it isn't with the #4 pick. Trust me, if it is a QB, you'll be thanking the front office by the end of the 2012 season, and not in a sarcastic way like....you know, "thanks Vinny." This isn't your Vinny Cerrato Redskins. If Vinny Cerrato was running this draft we'd be looking at a S, WR, CB, LB, K, and QB. Quote:

So, in the longer term perspective, if Shanny sees someone that he thinks is a true franchise QB at #4, it actually makes sense to take him, even with our enormous offensive line needs. I'm not arguing to take a QB. But many people see the argument as an OL/QB either/or for 2010 only, and it seems to me that in long-term perspective things are more complex than that.

Re: 79 Mock Drafts: Sam Bradford still Redskins projected choice
Not only was it a reach to take him in the first round it was complete stupidity to give away 3 draft picks to make that reach.

Re: 79 Mock Drafts: Sam Bradford still Redskins projected choice
They gave up 2 and swapped 1sts. But the point I was trying to make was he would not of slipped past the third round let alone go undrafted.

Re: 79 Mock Drafts: Sam Bradford still Redskins projected choice
In all fairness he was projected to go to the Browns at 34 if he slipped by the Redskins at 25.
