Who DON'T you want with the 6th pick?
With the draft a little more then a week away what don't you wanted the Redskins to do with that six pick? Be it a trade or a player in the draft that you don't seeing being a move that can make this team better?
For me there is just to many needs and too little draft picks to fill. Trade down only if there is some one that is going to be a cooley type player in the 3rd round! What I like not to see is a trade that dosen't fill a need or a player drafted that isn't a sure thing! We have one pick on day one of this draft and it better be good be it a D linemen or Landry! |

I can't really say 'who with the 6th pick I don't wanted." It's a very tricky question.

I changed the title for clarity.

Re: Who DON'T you want with the 6th pick?
I don't wanted Gaines Adams either. I wouldn't wanted to see our D with both Carter and Adams both playing at the same time unless it's like 3rd and 25 and the other team is losing so they have to pass.
I also don't wanted the trade for Briggs. I don't minded if we do make a trade, but I'd rather it be for a D-lineman or multiple picks.

Branch.
I don't think we have to worry about taking him though, he seems to have never been very high on our radar. Along with the laziness issue there are now reports that he has stress fractures in his legs and there are serious concerns about him being able to hold up for an entire season. I wouldn't have touched him before the news of the stress fractures, and I really wouldn't want him now. Stress Fractures Causing Alan Branch to Drop? - Sports Blog - The FanHouse |

Re: Who DON'T you want with the 6th pick?
Honestly, I like Carter as a great all-around DE. He was making stops in the backfield, sacking the QB and just being a great presence period. I AM concerned about Adams though, but with our LB corps, I think we can make up for some of those deficiencies provided he can get to the QB.

Re: Who DON'T you want with the 6th pick?
Russell
Quinn Anderson Branch Actaully my lists goes on and on. It's not a list of players I don't want more than it is a list of players who I don't want to pick at 6. I'd love Branch but I think we could get more value by trading a little and picking him lower. Same with Anderson. At 6 Landry is proper value and maybe Okoye for us. If Thomas were to slip magically I don't know what we'd do. He'd be a great value at 6 but we dont need him at all really. I will be disappointed if we stay at 6. I think we can get more value trading. Either up for Johnson or down for a guy we'd pick anyways and some picks. I can't understand if we stick 6 unless we just can't find a good eal. |

If Thomas falls, just EXPECT the offers to be rolling in from people who need his help. If he fell, we hit the jackpot.

Re: Who DON'T you want with the 6th pick?
Adams-liability against the run
Branch-too much money to risk on his character Russell/Quinn-we have a QB Thomas-we have tackles Peterson-we are stacked at RB Landry-We really need to adresss d-line I wont be mad at all if we picked Landry because he seems like he can make things happen, and i wont be that upset if we get branch or adams because at least it bolsters up our d-line. |

Re: Who DON'T you want with the 6th pick?
I still think it's win-win. If we trade down, I'll be slightly upset, but at six, we're still going to get someone great.
I just want to move a few spots down, get Carriker, Anderson, Branch, Okoye, ANY of those guys and use our second or third pick on a guard or DB.

I think we are wasting potential value by picking at 6.

Re: Who DON'T you want with the 6th pick?
Do you think we should take whatever we can for that pick even if it involves moving down a few spots and getting a fourth or fifth rounder?
