Exactly. Not to mention JC is under contract this year and is an RFA after this season. Not sure what leverage KI is talking about. I do think it's safe to say Joel Segal knows a hair more about the business than KI or any of us. If he needed to be there he would have been. Just because Jason was unsuccessfully shopped in a trade doesn't give him any more leverage than if he wasn't.

Plus I doubt their meeting had anything to do with a contract. It sounds like it was more "this is what happened, this is how we feel about you, this is how we want to move forward at this point, what are you thoughts?" And they went from there.

Campbell has drawn national praise for his handling of this situation, and frankly I'm proud that he's our quarterback.
