The new RFK could have a Retractible roof ???

This is what to see happen before kick-off in week 1 of 08-09:

1) We have to get a tall play-maker receiver that Campbell will throw the ball to. Moss isn't tall enough, but he has the speed, but he is underused. I don't know if either we package Collins and Lloyd to trade up with a team that wants a chance to win, and is judging Collins for his play, instead of understanding that he is a back-up.

2) We spend our money that we get from ST to either re-sign players, or if it makes better sense, get someone new. Retire #21. No questions, just do it.

3) Campbell has to start to follow Saunders offense, this made Collins look fabulous, he listened to the highest paid O-coordinator in the league. We realize that with a good bit of talent, and following Saunders offense, Campbell could be in the top 10.

4) We need to get a good kicker, we have lacked one of them for sometime. Arguably our loss was thanks to the momentum change out of the missed chip-shot field goal. 17 unanswered points hurts.

5) How about a roof on the stadium, that would make it louder!

6) We have to avoid long loosing streaks, no more than 2 at a time, it downs the whole team, in contrast, more winning streaks would be nice!

1. Not sure I understand the Collins comment.

2. What money from ST?

3. I don't think Campbell's problem is that he doesn't listen to Saunders. It's that he's still trying to grasp the offense.

4. Bring in some competition

5. We can put a man on the moon, but... Seriously, this is really unlikely

6. More wins, fewer losses? I think we can all agree with that

Except isn't he more suited for a 3-4? He is from Greenbelt, MD though

Still if we're going to draft a DE in the first round I'd prefer Groves or Campbell

He is one of those that can go both ways as a guy who puts his hand down or a stand up guy off the edge he has played both alot at Florida and he is a nice guy at that. lol

VERY GOOD we have done wonders with our crew under Williams
Did you see the Seattle LB's move ?
We need that as Rocky is out

QUOTE=heybigstar;403231]I know the need for a LB has been mentioned by a few of you, but I am surprised its not higher at the top of the list. Fletcher is set, but Mcintosh is a ? and I don't see Washington having too many more years left in the tank. I would like to add a LB with one of our first 3 draft picks. Lets fix this problem now.[/QUOTE]

williamson isn't the WR you want. he's terrible, and its not the vikes, it's him.

CJ, bryant, etc are much much better options. we don't need another worthless depth receiver at $$$$.

True, troy williamson is horrible, total bust that would be the worst free agent signing ever if we ended up bringing him in

Yesterday's game was to me a case of our injuries (and of course, ST's death) catching up w/us. The D did a good job overall, (they had to punt 7 times) but Seattle was able to exploit it enough. On O, our weak right side of the line, was manhandled. Can't blame Heyer for not being able to block Kerney. Fabini was run over a couple times by blitzing LBs. Our Wr's couldn't get much space.

So to answer the question this thread poses; I think we need to devote 1 or 2 of our highest draft picks to the D (we will be missing our top picks from 04-06 when the season begins) & the rest on the offense, mainly the O line. On D we have a lot of needs, DE, OLB & CB. On O, if Jansen & Thomas are healty, we are only a player or two away from being really explosive.

In free agency or trades, WR might be our best bet. I can't see the front office being able to land replacements that are even 50% the quality of Rogers, Taylor & Rocky, but on the offensive side of the ball, a couple moves & draft picks for depth, could make our offense the dominant unit on the team in 08.

Let Joe Gibbs retire.the guy is a legend and hall of famer but he's like a charoit in a los angeles freeway. He's out of his league at this point.he did lead us to a great finish dont get me wrong but the fire isnt there.I would go for Cowher or even Billick.A coach that would make you accountable for your actions. Also Draft Calais Campbell young defensive end in this years draft. He would fit Williams scheme perfectly and compliment Carter on the other side.We need that strong pass rushing game that will allow us to compete against the N.F.C's best quarterbacks i.e. Romo,Manning and Mcnabb

Calais Campbell I'm sure will get a lot of attention from us. He could be a good choice.

Why you'd want Brian Billick over Joe Gibbs is beyond me.
