He's already moved Federov up to the First Line with Ovie and Kozlov. But he's sticking with Huet. So we shall see. Hopefully Federov can help Ovie, Kozlov and Mike Green get some scoring opportunities.
Great move! I certainly did not see a change at the net coming, he's the horse. Had a couple tough games.....keep riding Huet. I think he will have a strong game tonight.
And we will come home 2 games a piece! I'll be there for game 5 Saturday afternoon...... ROCKIN THE RED!
LETS GO CAPS!!!!

Nice I didn't even know that there was a Caps Insider. And those are good moves, I really like moving Federov up because Backstrom has struggled in the playoffs so far (no biggie, it's his rookie season) and Federov probably has the most playoff experience of anyone on the Caps roster. And I'm hoping he gives the fourth line more ice time, I have to say they've probably been one of the best lines in the playoffs so far.
mooby 04-17-2008, 10:35 PM Whew. It's the end of the first overtime in Philly. I have to say I've been impressed with the Caps resilience this game. I gotta admit when Carter scored less than a minute in the game, my first thought was, oh god more of the same. But this entire team has bounced back and it really looks like the changes Boudreau implemented are really working. I've been pretty impressed by switching Federov to the first line and putting Backstrom on the second. It's not only taken some pressure off Backstrom but it's made both lines better. The third and fourth lines are still doing okay, and I'm glad Eminger was actived for this game because that goal he scored was huuuge for us. Huet was extremely impressive in the first overtime and in the third period. I hope he can continue this for us because if they score we're gonna be in a big hole. I've gotten my confidence back for this team.
mooby 04-17-2008, 10:56 PM Well, that's the end of that one. As they say, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. I guess we'll see if the Caps have what it takes to win the next two, although the odds are against them. It's hard to watch your team fight it out for 80+ minutes only to come away like that.
BDBohnzie 04-18-2008, 09:28 AM 3-1 is just about impossible to overcome, unless you are the Boston Red Sox...but we'll see what happens tomorrow afternoon at the phone booth.
SmootSmack 04-18-2008, 09:36 AM Well, regardless the Capitals and their fans should be proud of the way the franchise turned things around after Thanksgiving and stepped it up when needed down the stretch. And they should be happy with the promising future of this team. Was there a little luck involved along the way? Sure, but anyone who thinks all the Capitals were is lucky is simply being ignorant.
Monkeydad 04-18-2008, 10:51 AM One more win. :)
Monkeydad 04-18-2008, 10:54 AM So, will they be putting Kolzig back in?
Allowing 4, 2, 6 and 4 goals isn't that impressive by Huet.
BDBohnzie 04-18-2008, 12:27 PM I doubt it. Huet, while giving up the goals he has, has been playing decent hockey. But stranger things have happened...
I didn't realize that 20 years ago, the Caps were down 3-1 to the Flyers and came back to win the series...
