I doubt it. Huet, while giving up the goals he has, has been playing decent hockey. But stranger things have happened...

I didn't realize that 20 years ago, the Caps were down 3-1 to the Flyers and came back to win the series...

I didn't realize that either until I read Caps Insider. Maybe, just maybe, that's because I wasn't alive 20 years ago. It's a little far fetched but entirely possible.

On a more serious note, hearing that the Caps were down in the series 3-1 20 years ago and came back to win it gives me a little more hope. I just hope that they play with all the passion they've got for the next two games (if there is a second game to play) and we can get back in this thing.

So far I've really liked what I've seen from the Caps. They have been destroying them in terms of hits and they are playing with nothing to lose. If we win this game then we are gonna have to go back to Philly and do the same thing. This situation is no different than the regular season when we had to win practically every game just to stay alive.

Great game by the Caps, although the Flyers came on very strong in the third quarter. As the announcers said, we lived to fight another day. The battle is gonna be a lot harder on their home ice though so we're just gonna have to take it to them with all we've got. Same situation next game, we've got nothing to lose.

What playoff format do you guys prefer? 2-3-2 or 2-2-1-1-1?

its all over
clap, clap, clap, clap, clap

Sorry you had such a bad case of the clap. I guess that got cleared up today. Its all over?......not so fast OR better yet WRONG!

As we happened to have just returned home from the RED OUT today and didn't see many philly fans with the clap.

But hears the GOOD NEWS, HOW BOUT THEM CAPS!

It's not quite over just yet, don't count your chickens before they hatch. If the Caps can get the job done on the road Monday and this series goes to seven with philly returning to DC Tuesday......I don't think your going to have anything to clap about....other than the Caps movin on and the birds getting out the clubs.

Stay tuned. It's not over by any stretch, we are right back in this thing and philly better be praying that this Caps team that out played them all day has a bad game Monday or I think they know what the outcome will be, game seven.

GO CAPS!!!!!!!

I think the 2-2-1-1-1 format is fine, but I think it would be cool if they used the 2-3-2 format throughout the entire playoffs instead of just the finals like they do in MLB and the NBA. I'd be cool with them sticking with the 2-2-1-1-1 format throughout though.

The 2-3-2 seems like it would make more sense, but in a way, I've always thought the lower-seeded team had more of an advantage because they get 3 home games in a row. If they CAN steal one of the first 2 games on the road, they get 3 at home and the series may not even make it back to the arena of the team with "home ice/field advantage".

2-2-1-1-1 eliminates that but I bet travel is a pain.

I don't really care either way, but the 2-2-1-1-1 seems like the most fair, despite the traveling.
