your crazy, refs can and do dominate games all the time. furtermore a refs domination can affect the outcome of a game. penalties happen all the time, it's when and where the refs choose to call them.
tonights game was a perfect example of what i was talking about.

Yeah the flyers 2nd goal was an embarassment to the league.

Well just got home from the game. One hell of a game, and yes a tough loss. However, the Caps have nothing to hold there heads down about, this was a hell of a series and season. A few really bad calls and I guess I could even simply say missed calls. But that's life in Hockeyland.
Great season for the Caps, I look for this team to be contenders for many years to come, this year is just a starting point. Well done to the entire organization!
Side note: Quite a few Skins in the house to support the Caps tonight! CP was sitting right below us.

When the TV crew originally showed the replay of the Flyers' 2nd goal, it didn't look too bad...but after the 3rd period when they started showing the replay again, you can clearly see Thoresen go slamming into Morrisonn. Horrible non-call by the Refs, and that pretty much sealed the deal for Overtime. Then the trip call on Poti, when he was playing the puck was a bad call as well, considering a worse trip not 2 minutes or so before that went uncalled...oh well, what you gonna do? I'll tell you one thing. If Biron can stay hot, he can carry that team deep into the playoffs.
If the Caps can keep this squad together for a few years...they are going to be a force to be reckoned with. Stat of the week: Players aged 24 and under scored 18 of the 20 goals for the Caps in the series.
But good luck to the Flyers and the rest of the teams still in it. If I had to throw my vote to someone else, it would be Les Habitants, who took 7 games to beat the Bruins.

I've always, ALWAYS been a football fan. I'm a fan of baseball during certain times, especially the playoffs. I remember trying to like hockey a while ago but last night sealed the deal for me. Hockey is now in my circle. That shit is fun as hell to watch. Kind of like soccer, well World Cup because thats when I watch it mostly. I love the crowds there. Back to my point, I am now a Capitals fan. That's it, I found myself glued to the screen and when they lost I was crushed. Hocley has it's place and deserves it. Hopefully many people can be like me and give the game a chance because it is truly a fun and entertaining game to watch !

havent seen that kind of intensity since that game 7 against philly years ago. you know the one where dale hunter scored on a breakaway in overtime after a perfect pass from larry murphy about 2 mins after mike gartner rang the crossbar. i was in the building, it was nuts.
i think i was 12 or 13 and after regulation ended me and my bro ran out to bum a cigarette we were so pumped!! (yeah 15 years ago smokers used to give lil 12 year olds a smoke, probaly 75% sucess rate!! what were you guys thinking??)
