I'd have to see the play again, but I'm glad Haywood laid a hard foul on LJ. Usually though when a teammate does that and especially when they get ejected, it galvanizes his teammates and they rally. Didn't happen today. Like I said before, wizards and their fans shouldn't make excuses (we'd all be singing a different tune about LJ if he was wearing a Wizards' uniform) and start asking why our own players are stinking it up. We're better than this, fans and team alike.

At the end of the game when Damon Jones did Stevenson you cant see me thing, Oleskiy Pecherov should've done what Brendan Haywood did to LBJ.

Seeing that play again, I think it looks worse than it was. I mean I realize that the referees are watching everything move at a much quicker speed and don't have the luxury of stopping and rewinding a video clip, but it just looks so much worse because LeBron was already flying through the air. So it looks like Haywood threw him.

Actually, they *did* have that luxury. They looked at the tape after the play, and then ejected him.

Didn't know that. Thanks for pointing that out. As for Damon Jones...Stevensone basically asked for it

So, after speaking with my NBA counterpart here the issue is the fact that LeBron was in the air, rendering him essentially defenseless. Which I think I knew, but forgot. Anyhow, that's what made it a flagrant two.

Oh well, it's in the past now. Time to step it up. Like vs Chicago in 2005

I really don't know what the whining is about. When you lose by 30, you should pretty much put your tail between your legs and run off to the corner.

No they shouldn't. They should regroup, get back out there play hard and win. The Wizards aren't quitters. There's no need to go cry in a corner. It's cliche but...it's playoff time, leave it all out on the court.

Oh, and before anyone gets overly upset about my post, you were already down by 15 when that foul occured.
For the record, I agree with the call, he was already up in the air, just cause Haywood acted like it wasn't a foul on purpose doesn't mean it wasn't on purpose. That was a cheap foul. Also, like the refs said, they heard the wizards say they are going to hit LeBron over and over, so of course when they actually hit Lebron, are they supposed to look the other way? Another case that the Wizards should keep their mouths shut.

I'm not saying they should quit. I agree, no one should ever quit. What I'm saying is (I'll be more direct) you lost by 30, shut up.

I don't care that they ejected Brenda; as you say, the game was already out of hand. What I didn't like about the call was that it was not consistent with the way they had called the game up to that point. Two instances in particular; the hard foul on Blatche by Varejao and the hard foul on AD (can't remember who hit him). Those were both hard fouls of the same nature that they didn't call Flagrant Two's on.

Honestly, I don't think the Wizards have the mentality to play hard. It seems like their tough play has detracted from their scoring. Maybe they're focusing too much on being physical. I don't know. It's not looking good, and they are going to end up letting those chumps from Cleveland beat them once again if they don't do something to correct it.

I can certainly see that point, but at what point do the refs put a stop to it? Maybe they were close to calling those other ones the same way they did the LeBron foul, but felt the game was getting out of hand and needed to make a statement to get it back on track? I didn't watch the whole game, it wasn't very interesting to me, but I know that refs will let players play until it goes too far.

Well, like I said, the Wizards are not a good road team, we'll see how they play at home.
