Is this the same as sleeping with your underwear inside out to have a snow day? LOL.
Never heard of that. But here in Syracuse NY it snows almost every day. But if it will bring Evans back I'll give it a go. :)

I hope Evans decides to sign with the Skins.
It would be a huge improvement on goal line D and Short yardage D to line up Evans at one end and Daniels at the other and Haynesworth and Griffen at DT. That would be a tough line to run on. Sit Little Andre Carter down on the bench on obvious run plays.
You'd bring them both back? Why not just bring Evans back, and on goal line situations slide Haynesworth out and bring in Montgomery or Golston (even Alexander) as your second DT?

That is another good option, but you need depth at DE. I have always been in favor of keeping two pass rushers and two run stoppers at DE and sub them as needed. Due to Daniels injury last year we only had one run stopper Evans.
For true Goaline D you usually line up 3 DT's (Haynesworth, Griffen and Montgomery) and 2 DE's (Daniel and Evans).
For short yardage 4-3 I would lne up Griffen and Daniels at DT and Daniels and Evans at DE.
It would be tough run on those D-lines.

Although I will say in the Power Situations you speak of, that might not be the case.

I agree that at 2 million a year, Evans is a bargain to be had.

I respectfully disagree.
AC is a good player and a good pass rusher, he is very good in the open field. He is not good in tight spaces against the run, Which kind of makes him a little bit (not completely) one dimensional. Which is why we need a run stopper to sub in for him on occasions.
Did you see the Ravens game? The Ravens ran the off balance O-line and had a field day against AC. I also remember the replay of Jason Whitten knocking the snot out of AC on a run play during one of the Dallas games. I do not want my DE to man handled by a TE. Not good.
Flozzell Adams would push him around pretty good on a run play.

Further down in that link was a story that jake Grove signed with Miami. He would have been good to make a run at. Oh well...

He doesn't have time to comment. He is still digging up dirt with Archuleta.
LMAO... i was surprised to see Evans really isn't asking for a ton.
I know GTripp dissagrees but i think we'd be short-sighted to not sign Evans. I say give him a 3 year deal as he's never been injured and even though 29 has very little wear and tear.
