Bring Back Evans!!!!
Update: Evans Signs with NinersTheSmurfs22 03-04-2009, 09:32 PM Bring Back Evans!!!! 53Fan 03-04-2009, 09:32 PM Is Orakpo a LE or RE? Would we be stuck again with two high paid RE's? I'm pretty sure he plays RE. I remember him going against Alex Boone when they played Ohio State. He did'nt look to good in that game from what I remember. SFREDSKIN 03-04-2009, 09:37 PM Plus if he gets the same amount in San Francisco he will make even less. I mean lets look at the facts. For one the housing markets on the rocks so selling his current home is going to be difficult. On top of that the taxes in California are backbreaking plus the values of homes are about 3 to 4 times more then they are in other parts of the country. For example a house in Ashburn might cost Evans $500,000. In California, especially San Francisco, that same home will cost him about $1.5 million. Basically if the offers are similar he would do best to stay put. Let's see sales tax in SF and the Peninsula is 8.25% soon to be 9.25% due to state budget crisis, car registration is going to double. Housing is expensive but prices have dropped about 30-40%, thank god they repealed the extra $0.12 Cents a gallon tax that was on the original budget. Public schools suck, not like the one I attended in Rockville back in the 70's. There's a lot of negatives, but at the same lots of nice things. If he's single, he'll love it, more chicks for guys due to gay population. Trample the Elderly 03-04-2009, 09:37 PM Evans has signed with 49ers, PFT reports, for what it's worth. MTK 03-04-2009, 09:38 PM Damn, guess we're stuck with Daniels. The Goat 03-04-2009, 09:39 PM Uhhhhhhhhhh. Lame. WaldSkins 03-04-2009, 09:39 PM Can we now change this thread to "Say Goodbye To Evans" chrisl13 03-04-2009, 09:41 PM Evidence... ProFootballTalk.com - EVANS CHOOSES NINERS (http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/04/evans-chooses-niners/) The Goat 03-04-2009, 09:42 PM So what's the verdict... mistake by the FO in balking at the Taylor decision so that we lost control of the Evans situation? Or were we just half-hearted on the Evans deal no matter what? MTK 03-04-2009, 09:45 PM Seems to me there wasn't much interest in Evans right from the start. |
