Ruhskins 03-05-2009, 12:35 AM The Giants could sign him, but I'm sure they'll just pick up another d-lineman. SmootSmack 03-05-2009, 12:43 AM Eagles could use a WR :) Giants, Jets, Pats, Bears, Colts, Vikings all make sense too By the end of this week Owens, Holt, and Harrison could all be looking for jobs. That's quite a market for veteran WRs that could push a team over the top Pocket$ $traight 03-05-2009, 12:45 AM The Giants could sign him, but I'm sure they'll just pick up another d-lineman. The best possible scenario would be him going there. It won't happen, though. This is bad news. This actually makes Dallas better. I really wish we didn't have 12 million in cap space with him available. I am going to buy paper bags for the games if we sign him. wilsowilso 03-05-2009, 12:50 AM I'm not going to lie I would be more than ok with it if we signed him. I don't like him as a person at all, but he could help us big time. It would be risky, but it could work. Maybe not. It would be risky, but it could work. Maybe not. Only if he comes dirt cheap and we device a jockstrap filled with C-4 and a remote detonator. "Ok T.O., you make a peep and you'll go boom". Actually, any team that even considers him should take note of this idea. LOL. GTripp0012 03-05-2009, 01:13 AM Anyone know how big of a cap hit the Cowpukes will take? Just curious.Purely based on knowledge of similarly structured contracts, the dead cap should be somewhere equal to his expected salary for the 09 season. In other words, it's a relative net zero gain on the cap to release him as opposed to keep him. This is strictly a football move. |
