If we hadn't made a commitment to two new WRs, plus a receiving TE last spring and if we still had Gibbs who could control TO I'd definitely consider him. But now, even with some doubts about Kelly's knees and a still new head coach in Zorn, along with TO's age, I don't think he's the right fit here. He can still play though.

Giants makes sense for him. Other teams that could make sense are New Orleans, Tennessee, and the Vikings. Maybe even the Ravens and Colts.Didn't TO have a deal with the Ravens before he signed on to play with Philly? I think he refused to go so the deal fell through. I doubt they would take a chance on him this time around but the other teams do sound like reasonable options.

Just stop, he's not coming here. And I doubt NY would want another head case WR either.

Matt, I hope that you are right. You trust the FO more than I do.

Rotoworld and Mike and Mike are saying its a possibility of TO coming to the Skins.

BHA, I think we didn't go after him earlier is cause we had Gibbs to keep Snyder in check when it came to him wanting chemistry type players.

Pocket$, JC may not be strong enough but Zorn loves JC. I question if Zorn is strong enough like the Tuna to control T.O. but I think if T.O. even looked at JC wrong I could see Zorn dealing with T.O. head on. Zorn covets JC as his QB.

12thman, There is a difference in letting a 34-35 y/o DL go who's talent is waning and bringing in a 35 y/o WR who is still considered one of the best at his position.

...and it's also true that everytime he has moved on to new teams the old team was either in shambles or something. Our only saving grace would be that we would still have Kelly and Thomas to pick up where he leaves off. Dallas does have Williams so there WR situation is not as dire as the Eagles was but they still have other positions to fill like DE one of their best just got signed away. CB, one of their best just got signed away. and now WR.

Yeah, to join Chad Johnson and Anquan Boldin at WR.

We're the target every time ANY higher-priced player becomes available. Don't go off the deep end until Snyder starts talking about it.

I personally don't want TO. We have too many other holes to fill (OL, OG, OT, DE and probably RB) than to keep signing players to our fantasy team. But who knows what the boy king will do. Anything is possible when he has his hand on the wheel. Even giving up NO. 81 to TO.

Whatever happened to the whole "Redskins1" thread where people tracked Snyders plane. lol. Half the time we knew who Snyder was looking at prior to the media. lol. I truly miss that thread.

I do not see us bringing the piece of trash in...despite that long Mike Florio article. His whole premise for the article is that Owens will try to play for every team in the NFC East, it's a piece based more in fun than fact.

If he did come here and wanted to wear #81, there'd be riots at every game. Snyder has made some smart moves to improve our team this offseason and I think he's learned how to improve the team better than he had done with past experiments. I have faith he'll make the smart move and leave Owens to tear another team apart.

I could see him landing in New England, Oakland, Tennessee (has no receivers so maybe there)...that's about it. He's like Manny in baseball...there's talent there WHEN HE TRIES...but his personality turns most teams off to the risk of bringing him in.

Who knows, maybe Cincy will cut Chad Johnson and sign Owens. CJ is psycho too, but I'd take him over Owens any day.

Mike Florio is pissed he didn't get the story first, no one did except ESPN and Fox Sports. I'm surprise Schefter wasn't on it either.

Why would Snyder be salivating? Snyder wanted nothing to do with T.O. the last time he was on the market and we needed a WR more then than we do now. What makes you think Snyder would change his mind on T.O. and go after him now?

Does T.O. Make Sense for Skins? - Redskins Insider (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/2009/03/does_to_make_sense_for_skins.html)

"Whenever Rosenhaus has a disgruntled client, Redskins Park phone numbers are among the first he dials, league sources said. When Owens became available in 2006, former coach Joe Gibbs kept him out of the building because of his concerns about stirring strife in the locker room, team sources said. But Gibbs is back in NASCAR and Snyder and Cerrato still like those big receivers. Their attempts to provide big targets for quarterback Jason Campbell - and more options for Coach Jim Zorn as he installed his version of a spread offense - did not turn out well in 2008. Washington used its first three draft picks on wideouts Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly, and pass-catching tight end Fred Davis".

The paragraph above scares the crap out of me and I think it is 100% true.
