It's odd. Yesterday I was oddly indifferent to his passing. I didn't really feel much. Today, I'm getting more and more sad because, despite the fact that I'm relatively young, he was one of my favorite artists of all time. Very sad that he's gone.

Very untimely and tragic. He was one of the greatest singers, entertainers we've seen. I'm still in shock. RIP

Yesterday my post was a gut reaction to his death as a child molester. If in fact he was innocent (which I think we will never know the truth) then God rest his soul. For me its a mixed bag of emotions because I to was a fan of his until that stuff came out about him and those kids.

I think he was a part of alot of your childhoods esipically us thirty somethings. So with him passing I feel like part of my childhood past on too.
I remebr trying to convinence my dad to get me one of the leather jacket with all the zippers on it, thank god he put the brakes on that!
In his videos try just watching his feet, incrediable.
Who is bigger Elvis or MJ? Hard to say.

I guess I was just a bit too young to ever be a real fan of his. I never got the whole big deal about him, just thought he was another disconnected from reality celeb.

I think that's why people are getting so emotional over this. His dying is so clearly an epochal moment in the lives of those of us of a particular generation that you can't help but think about how old you've gotten, and about how Michael was a constant throughout the various stages of your life. It's one of those things that just brings up emotions that are hard to describe, and which you don't feel everyday. I never would have thought I would be so affected by his passing but I have been.

In the 80's, especially the early 80's, he was bigger than anything in entertainment history outside of Elvis and the Beatles. Someone said it already. Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson. Short list indeed. No one else is even close to that list.
