I wonder how Billy Kilmer would be graded today?
Updated: Redskins to hold private workouts with Tebow and Bradford53Fan 03-23-2010, 02:19 PM I wonder how Billy Kilmer would be graded today? mredskins 03-23-2010, 02:30 PM I take Tebow in the 2nd he has grown on me and it would create a lot of drama around here! It may divide this board like the famous kool-aid days. MTK 03-23-2010, 02:39 PM And we thought things were bad with the Cult of Colt? Can you imagine the Temple of Tebow? GMScud 03-23-2010, 02:44 PM You make some good points but I have a couple issues. I think you may be over estimating by classifying Rodgers as a project. The guy was considered by most to be a top 10 pick in the draft but ended up slipping on draft day. He was even in the mix to be the top pick for a while. Also what if Campbell can't do it and that's obvious by October 2010? I am not willing to wait 2 years for Tebow to be ready. That is my main issue with him. Maybe he can develop...but it seems to me that maybe there are other QB's available that Shanny could develop faster. I don't want to be sitting around in 2011 playing Sexxy or Campbell because Tebow still isn't ready. Well, I highly doubt Campbell flops so badly that Grossman becomes a better option. And are any rookie qbs really "ready?" I mean, it's a relative term. Bradford is certainly more "ready" right now than Tebow, but neither of them would out-perform Campbell in 2010. Not that I'm advocating it, but I think Grossman was brought in precisely for this reason- if Campbell flops or gets hurt, we've got a guy who has started plenty of games in the NFL that can be a stop-gap so we don't have to throw the rookie to the wolves. warpaint 03-23-2010, 03:16 PM What is with this kick about first Myron Rolle and now Tim Tebow. All the time we wish for players that are smart and well rounded. Now all of a sudden they're to smart, to wholesome. Do we need a picture of them with a Thai hooker to bring them back down to earth? We have enough premadonnas in the league, it's about time we raised our standards a little. And look at it this way Tebow would balance out the trash that is Larry Johnson. Agreed. Every draft expert would rather take Fragile Bradford #1 over Concrete Cyanide. Myron Rolle isnt even considered a first rounder just because he is a Rhodes Scholar I think he is projected 4th rounder he could be gem if still around for us. McCluster apparently ran under a 4.4, interesting that a lot of teams are looking at him only as a WR celts32 03-23-2010, 03:19 PM Well, I highly doubt Campbell flops so badly that Grossman becomes a better option. I believe with Shanny coaching them that Bradford certainly and possibly Clausen could be a better option then Campbell. At minimum with conservative play calling they could do as well. In reality we know what Campbell is...he's a guy who will play okay...not make a lot of mistakes but not make a lot of big plays either. The longer it takes to get Shanny's QB up to speed the longer it will take for the Redskins to compete for a championship. In my eyes sitting around in 2011 with anyone other then the long term answer at QB lining up under center is huge waste of time. MTK 03-23-2010, 03:23 PM Despite how trendy it's been lately to play a rookie QB from day 1, I don't like the idea unless you have a strong cast around him, which we don't have. johno 03-23-2010, 03:27 PM Way too many holes to fill on the OL and the OLB,ILB & RB to waste a pick on Tebow in the 2nd round...A second round pick should be counted on to produce in his first year...It would be a stupid move....Javid Best may be there in the 2nd, Sean whitherspoon(OLB) or Maurice Ouncey(G/C)...why waste a 2nd on a backup QB that may never start???? We already have 2 2nd round passcatchers that havent panned out yet!!!! bam! nicely said ChikenMonkey. We can take guys in the first two rounds that fill roles of legitmate need. Rebuilding takes time, lets give JC/SexyRexy a semblance of an Oline, if they don't pan out, we can worry about a QB next year.
