I still can't believe they are waiving the guy after giving up a 3rd rounder for him. Someone's head is gonna roll for that.

SmootSmack 11-02-2010, 08:48 AM This kind of reminds me of the Vinny-Sherm Lewis moment from last year (or many other Vinny moments of the past couple of years I guess). Where basically the ownership and the rest of the front office in Minnesota don't agree with the move but they've decided to just put it all on Childress now. It's like they're saying "Ok, Brad, you think this is the right move. We'll do it, but it's 100% on you now. This doesn't work you have no one to blame but yourself and you can find new employment next year" Takeuon 11-02-2010, 09:48 AM Hmmm....What good is it to bring him aboard when we have no offensive line? KLHJ2 11-02-2010, 10:01 AM I still can't believe they are waiving the guy after giving up a 3rd rounder for him. Someone's head is gonna roll for that. I'll have an order of the Bald Chili please. Can I get a side of deserves all the blame in a "he ****ed up" box. I would like to pay for that now because I'm not gonna be here next year. CRedskinsRule 11-02-2010, 10:19 AM Hmmm....What good is it to bring him aboard when we have no offensive line? McNabb has had time, AA dropped one. Galloway has missed several long bombs. AA is getting better, but Moss makes several of the long bombs we have missed. He also forces coverage ALOT. Is it a guarantee of success, no, is it a low risk solution, I would say yes. Doesn't cost picks, not a big check, compared to some we have paid out. Overall, i just don't see much risk, but a good upside if he and McNabb figure it out. Overall, i just don't see much risk, but a good upside if he and McNabb figure it out. Exactly my thoughts. A lot of people were squeamish about bringing Vincent Jackson in because of the high draft price it would inflict. There is no draft picks we would have to give away. His salary would be minimal. You are not going to tell me that he is worse than a 38 year old Galloway who is losing more and more playing time each week. Or worse than any other WR not named Armstrong or Moss. I realize everyone is talking about pre madonna this and another haynesworth that, but I seriously think the pros outweigh the cons by A LOT. Not like we are exactly in the division lead right now and I don't see how it could cause us to lose MORE games than if he wasn't here. Get it done. mredskins 11-02-2010, 10:31 AM I think someone else grabs him before us, that is higher up the wire then us. CRedskinsRule 11-02-2010, 10:38 AM I think someone else grabs him before us, that is higher up the wire then us. There really are only a few teams ahead of us that would make sense. Carolina and the Rams to me are the biggest "competitors", the question with both of them is a - money and b - they have young clubs, do they want Moss' locker room style affecting their qb's? Wish they had put him on the waver wire yesterday... MTK 11-02-2010, 10:43 AM I could see the Jags maybe taking a shot at him. He would certainly help sell some tix and at 4-4 they're still in the hunt. Overall I think there's a fair chance he could make it to us on the list. mredskins 11-02-2010, 10:44 AM By losing on Sunday did we better ourselves a chance to get him? |
