You actually think a 3rd round pick is going on the PS??
Not a chance.
I could see Crawford going to PS with Robinson opening the season as our returner, unless Banks somehow makes the team.
I'd also like to see Banks get a shot to keep his job this preseason with someone other than Grossman throwing to him. Bad Rex was definitely showed up against the Bills...he couldn't get the ball anywhere close to his receivers. I like that we were going to Banks to test him at WR and see what he could do, but he didn't have much of a chance with Rex's lame duck passes.

Competition has proved to be very effective on this team. There will be some tough cuts and a guy or two will likely land with another team. That being said, it seems like more than ever players want to be a part of this organization.

well, if someone else can play C, they'd cut cook instead, but they aren't keeping 10+ OL and mcrib was picked in the 3rd round, but he wouldn't have been a 3rd round pick for 95% of teams.
Cook isn't making it over Josh L, who by the way has been learning center.
Some other team would sign him off the PS in a second.

The Rib's versatility will carve him a spot.

I'm so on the fence regarding Banks .. one day I know he won't make it then the next I think well he has a shot and is so sick at returns .. if he could somehow grow (no pun intended) into the role of a WR it could be such a weapon .. my gut tells me he makes the team but it's tough and I think it will push AA out of town.

I get as giddy as a school-girl when he's back to return, but then I remember that he weighs less than my poodle..
If he's used correctly, I think he could be an asset. I'm thinking Option-type scenarios. But as a receiver, he's just far too small. He can't escape if a defender gets a finger on him.

Everyone loves Rudy, I mean Banks, because he is an underdog. He has value, but we aren't a deep enough team for him to be just a return specialist. Robinson and Crawford can both return and have added depth value.

Sorry but Banks is a waste of a spot. Would have been a keeper in the tradition of BMitchell or the "X Factor" but since they vOted to move the kickoff line up- every kick goes out of bounds and he's only 5'7" 150lbs. Watching him as a WR is just too painful. Cut him now, it's too late for him to Play with the big boys and give Briscoe and Aldrick a chance to compete. Personally I'd rather get Paul reps than watch a midget like Banks flop all over the field.

I agree. Returners don't matter as much after the rule change -- and aside from early last year, Banks hasn't been lighting up the returns anyway. Watching him last game at WR was embarassing.
I'd rather give Briscoe a chance than a small underperforming WR who only does returns.
