See that's what I mean... People can't even get his name right. How can you expect him to get a fair shake??

He had two weeks to craft his message. He was a communications/marketing major. He knows how to brand himself. And in all his comments I could find, there was no trace of the acknowledgement of self limitations/failings. Simply self aggrandizement, and commitment to future (which when made without reflections are fairly useless). Now, his comments about the team and future might give Browns fans hope, except he made the same pronouncements here, but didn't follow up - because he doesn't seem to acknowledge where his weaknesses are. An example from his statement:

he gives himself a perfect in right here to make a self reflective statement: and when it comes to what I need to work on, like my drop backs or like pocket presence, I'm excited...

But he doesn't do that, he deflects any thought of his faults and makes it sound like he didn't have an opportunity to grow, this from a guy who was the named starter for the first 3 + years of his career.

He can deflect fault from himself all he wants at the microphone but once he steps on the field it will become painfully evident to Browns fans why he is no longer a Redskin.

Griffin = Steamin' Willie Beamen.

For me I pretty much turned on the guy and knew what he was all about once he did that stupid hour long marketing video on his comeback from knee surgery. What a bunch of effing garbage that was. I knew right there that he was kind of a coddled egomaniac.

Hue Jackson seems like a pretty sharp guy but I still can't believe he signed him. Did he look at the tape?? That is not going to work out at all. Jackson is a hard nosed, no nonsense coach who isn't going to tolerate Griffin's BS.

How much different is Jackson's offense going to be from the one he just failed in?

I'm not getting the optimism. Worse offensive line, worse weapons = success?

We will see how much Hue Jackson believes in RG3 during the draft

Even if he feels like RG3 still has unlimited potential, he'd be dumb not to draft a qb with a pick that high and a guaranteed availability of at least 1 top guy. I think they draft a qb, give RG3 every chance to earn the job, and if he earns it and plays well they trade him eventually for a nice bounty while they give the starting job to the elite rookie waiting on the bench. And if RG3 doesn't play well he never sees the light of day and becomes the next plot in the quarterback graveyard that is Cleveland.
