Food stamps set to be cut off for November. But hey at least the WH is getting a new ballroom and Trump is extorting the Justice Dept for $230M.

It’s a democrat shutdown…cry harder

Yeah if only the Republicans could some how have more control of the federal government right? Funny how Mike Johnson refused to bring republicans back to DC to negotiate or even considered a bill to fund salaries separately then advance a total budget. But sure it’s the dems

"A shutdown falls on the president's lack of leadership. I mean problems start from the top and they have to get solved from the top. A shutdown means the president is weak."
-Trump 2013

"If there is a shutdown, I think it would be a tremendously negative mark on the president of the United States. He's the one that has to get people together."
-Trump 2011

Your boy’s words

Mike Johnson passed the house bill.

The democrats have a clean spending resolution which they are filibustering effectively shutting down the government.

It’s really that simple

A clean bill? Hardly. Proposing a bill that you know is DOA in the Senate is not doing your job. He could've easily have sent a bill that would've been approved in the Senate but chose not to. That is on him

I mean we have learned since third grade in civics class that the two parties have to compromise to pass a bill right? I am sure that a bill can be negotiated that would get the handful of senators needed to pass a bill. The easiest thing would be for Johnson to cut the spending in everything already in the bill and agree to ACA subsidies. A real simple, cheap and ernest compromise. Both parties unhappy but getting something they want.

Not only that, but apparently some people voted Trump because he is supposedly the best businessman in the world who is adept at negotiating. This government shutdown has pretty much cancel out that claim.

Well you can't negotiate when you flee the country
