Brunell will count $6.6 million against the cap if he's on the roster in 2007. If we cut him before June 1, he'll have a dead cap hit of 4.3 million in 2007, representing a savings of $2.3 million. I believe the the new CBA allows us to cut him before June and still spread the cap hit over two years. The new CBA allows two vet players to be cut before June and still treated as if they were cut after June 1. I don't think he gets cut in almost any circumstance but just raising the point.
