It is easy for you all to say that is a price we have to pay, because we aren't in their shoes. After we capture OSama, yes let's waterboard the heck outta him, but a lot of the people could be innocent.

Also it is proven these methods are not always effective. When being waterboarded you agree to almost anything just to make it stop. People even make up stories.
You might want to do a quick check before making a statement like this. One guy was involved in every major terrorist operation carried out by Al Qaeda. Abu Zubaydah News - The New York Times

The other guy was the MASTER MIND BEHIND 9/11.

The people waterboarded certainly aren't innocent and the intelligence gained from this interrogation technique was successful in saving lives.

Re: Mancow Waterboarded, Admits It's Torture

Sorry guys, I didn't know that. I thought from some of the stuff I heard there was suspicion that it was more than just those three.

Now that I know all that, I find it more acceptable, but I still feel it will probably be abused if accepted(waterboarding). Torture law is black and white to my understanding, and for a good reason. The whole slippery slope deal.

Anyways it is a tough issue then, not as simple as I thoguht it was. Do we remain the high moral country or do ends justify means?
