There appear's to be serenois yet to unfold in this trade that remain highly speculative. The fact remains the incoming player is the most important, and the ONLY way we'll be able to determine whether the trade is good, bad or indifferent is whether we reach a deal with Duckett that will assure his presence here to justify a trade at all. There's no way I can beleive there's not some ongoing discussion in this regard as we speak, otherwise none of this will make any sense at all. When this trade has been announced as official, that's the only thing I want to see; what type deal Duckett gets with the Redskins, everything else is speculative. We all know that trading for a player, giving up draft choices to be here until the bidding war begins does not make a lot of sense.

i agree, the redskins have not yet released a report that says we have him, atleast not one that i have seen. could it be because we are waiting to wrap him up long term?

I just checked the team site and the trade is awaiting the passing of physicals.

The Eagles are hopeless for 2006. Westbrook is hurt, so is Buckhalter, Moats isn't the answer and they have no RB depth, so they're looking at a fragile and old Stephen Davis. WRs for McNabb to throw to since they can't run the ball are a 2nd-year #1 WR in Reggie Brown, Pinkston and Hank Baskett. :)
hmm. i know they're in our division, but I don't think Betts would be such a loss to them except as a spy..anyone the Eagles have that we really really covet?

That's right, I was one of the ones supporting giving Davis a look.......and for the record, I love the TJ move. Next year's 3rd rounder? Who cares? Chances are slim that you'd find a 3rd rounder next year with the ability of TJ.....and even then how does that help us THIS year? Trading 1st rounders in the worst case scenario? So what? I don't see Denver and the Skins finishing up all that far apart anyway. You're talking about maybe moving 5 or 6 positions.
The way i understand, its not that we are swapping positions with them we will be outright giving them our first round pick if we end up with a worse record than the broncos.

One thing is for sure. Nobody online anywhere has a got a clue as to what exactly we gave up in this trade. There are like 14 different reports. I've never seen anything quite like it. I guess we have to wait until they pass the physicals because the nfl web site just says we gave up a third which would be an amazing deal if you ask me.
