Great pick up guys it will help for the time CP is injured, and it gives you a goal line and shortline specialist. This brings some questions?

1) Maybe Portis injury is bigger than reported

2) I as some don't like giving a high first day pick specially for a player in his last year of contract but I know this is Gibbs philosophy prefers veterans then rookies specially since a lot of them just turn out to be bust ( like our 2004 3rd round pick Peterman who we just cut).

But now you only have a 1st rounder and then you go to the 5th round but again it's win now and essentially a good move.

3) wonder how much money you'll give this guy

4) what happens to Betts ( 1 for 1 liked this kid) and Cartwright I know Gibbs said they are in the plans but they just moved down a spot and Duckett is young it's not like he'll be here 1 year and leave only if he sucks which we know he doesn't.

It's actually about the fact that Betts is entering the last year of his contract and that a move had to be made now. Apparently, there were talks between Betts and the Skins of a contract extension. Maybe that didn't get done? Maybe Betts wanted to be a featured back somewhere else as he's mentioned? If anything, the Duckett pickup is going to provide a good 1-2 punch as well as good backup if Portis goes down.
