you know I am glad to get his contract off the books after next season, but I dont understand why every one is so RA RA? It just speaks volumes in the ways of this front office. It has been very, very questionable the last 4 years. we go on and on all the time about this. We let a former 1st round pick, who we made the highest paid safety in league history, go for a 6th round pick? How bad is that. yeah yeah, preach all you want about how we dont have to pay him, but we do still have to pay him 4+ million in dead cap space. we lead the league in that every single year. GW has to be held accountable for this crap. Bailey gone, smoot gone(back now) pierce gone, clark gone, Arrington gone, mis steps with Arch, Barrow, Wright, Rumph. who is letting this guy pick these players. Everyone in the league knew Arch was not going to fit here, but GW did. Carter has yet to earn the 10mil signing bonus 30+million contract. he played well in 3, 4 games? He may turn out to be ok, but come on. its just another move and big contract that hasn't worked out. there has to be some kind of change soon if this organization is going to put up another big silver trophy at Redskin park.I will give you Clark but I would have goen with Chris Hope not Arch in last year free agent pool! Pierce is the big one here and should have never let him get away! As for Barrow a total miss just as Arrington was for the Giants so that is a wash. Arrington when he left the Skins had nothing left in the tank! For Carter to pay off we will need another big time DE like when we had C.Mann and D.Manley! I just wish we could draft Anderson and get Ian Scott at DT in free agency. But we have little in draft picks and cap room!

Just cause the guy is a workout freak doesn't mean he can play football. I work out all the time but I can't cover Jason Witten. And apparently neither can AA.
I know that, but that was was one of the main "selling points" and we all bought into it.

Where does it say that the bears picked up AA's 5 million guaranteed money? I would love that and would think that this is the move of the year if the Bears actually did that.
Also, is your name john daly, if so, that is sooooo cool.
Edit-sorry for the double post, i just pressed back instead of edit when i tried to edit.
Yes, John Daly, like the golfer!

I don't think Arch was ever "ours" really. And secondly, do you really still feel that way after the moves we've made these past few months?
I agree that AA was never "ours" but he was brought in here becuase of some of the other D players that were "ours" were sent packing and since he was from somewhere else he's worth signing.
I think so even more.

You think so even more even after all the re-signings?

Yes. Take Smoot for example, he's basically let go to Minn by the skins because someone else can come in and do the job. Turns out he really is needed here so they turn around and bring him back.

6th is about what we should have expected for him.....
Worst FA Blunder maybe ever for the Washington Redskins, just a stupid ass signing with Sean Taylor already here. I honestly think Archuletta will be a impact player next season now that he's in Chicago.
It's going to be interesting to see how AA does in Chicago. He wasn't good enough to play here, but obvioisly Lovie Smith welcomes him. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

I would've given D'Bears a 6th rounder to take AA too! Oh, I get it...........
Wow, did we make out with this deal!
