what ever happened to all that talk of a stadium in DC? personally i think it's foolish but like u said Dannyboy doesn't exactly make fiscally responsible decisions when it comes to the skins.

Dannyboy is one of the most successful owners, fiscally in the NFL., inspite of a loosing record. In fact I think the Redskins are the most profitable franchise in the NFL.

NFL | NFL Films lays off nearly 10 percent of employees

The Associated Press reports nearly 10 percent of the workers have been laid off of NFL Films, which has been documenting the league for over 40 years. The workers were told last week of the layoffs, according to The Philadelphia Daily News. The company has run into a number of difficulties recently, including the HBO network deciding not to renew "Inside the NFL" for next season.

Updating previous items, John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald will receive a $15 million signing bonus as part of a new four-year, $40 million contract. His base salary will be $2 million, giving him a $17 million payout in 2008. Fitzgerald has a $5 million option bonus in 2009. Over the four years of the contract, Fitzgerald will receive $30 million in guarantees.

Lester Munson, of ESPN.com, reports Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick is still waiting for admission into the federal prison system's Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), according to a prison spokesperson. Vick will be in jail until at least June 2009 unless he is able to get into the program. If he gets into RDAP, he could be transferred to a halfway house as early as January. Vick needs to be employed for the halfway house. If he ends his suspension and an NFL team is willing to sign him, he could train and prepare for the 2009 season from the halfway house, according to experts of federal prison programs.
