Speaking of superstition. I told this girl living with me, not to talk to me during the game and right when the punt at the end of the game was kicked, she walked in to the room i was watching the game in and asked me if i wanted a beer. As she is saying that im watching the game and i see a fair catch being called, and again I hear the vioce of defeat "Do u need a beer" and BAM there goes the game. Im sorry for the loss fellas. I keep thinking if only I filled the ice chest up and locked the door. We would have won but no, I focused to much on what i was wearing the last game we won, and what mug i was drinking out of, and that i was opening the beers before the play not during. I could go on but. It was all her fault, The Bringer of Defeat. And trust me she had an earful of my drunkin rant, of how she is all that is evil in the world. And why at that moment and time did she have to come and ask me for a beer? While during the whole game i did not hear a peep.

Am I over reacting?

Maybe...but just in case.....is there a friends house she can stay at during the game? :)

Alright ive talked to some more people, and Billboards are definitely a lot more then I was originally told in the DC area (20-40k). Part of the reason the Bills Fan billboard was pretty cheap was because it was a digital billboard with rotating ads, which there are zero of in the DC area. Plus it was Buffalo.

There are however lots of Metro Bus's. So the cheapest package they have is to put a ad on 10 bus's for 7k plus the cost of signs. I am still waiting on a detailed proposal but it will probably cost about 8-9k. I think there is a good chance of raising that much, and if not at least it was worth a try. One of the first questions she asked me was “are you the guy who called before”. There are a lot of people out there willing to fund this cause.

You are not allowed to make personally attacks on these advertisements, So Fire Vinny Cerrato cant be done. Plus from the time the payment is received to when bus's are riding around sporting our sign it will be 2 weeks. Cerrato may be gone by then. But they said they are very pro-free speech, so we can get away with being brash. So does anyone have any good suggestions for the message/ad. It will be for a sign on the side of the bus that is about 13 feet by 2.5 feet. This is the best i could come up with:

Sell OUR Team Danny Boy

Any ideas?

Maybe...

Step one: Fire racquetball boy toy

Step two: Hire competent GM

Step three: Step aside and be patient

Step four: Go back to step three

And perhaps a burgundy background? More text might cost more but just a suggestion.

Not having cash flow is all this man understands. If you don't buy concessions if you go to the game, if you don't buy merchandise, and if you don't go to the games he might get the message. Voting with your wallet is the biggest way to change somone's mind about something.

"Scalp Vinny"
"Fans are on the Warpath! Fight, For Old D.C.!"
"Hey Danny, it's time for a new Chief!"
"Can't buy yourself a Clue, Danny."
"Doing a heck of a job, Danny" - (W Katrina reference)

Aren't there more worthy causes out there to be putting this much time, money and effort in to?

Repeat after me, it's just a game.

Billboard rental in DC area - $ 20K

Ad on ten Metro buses - $ 9K

Chance of this NOT being a complete waste of time/money - Zero

Could you imagine though if spending billboards all around DC actually got Snyder's attention and he said "Ok, I'm here to listen. What do you fans want me to do?"

"Fire Vinny!"

"Done. Now what?"

"Hire a real GM"

"Ok. Who?"

"Chris Polian" "No, Eric DeCosta" "No, Bruce Allen" "No, Mike Holmgren" "No, Marty Schottenheimer" "No, Floyd Reese" ...

"Um ok. What about Zorn"

"Fire him too"

"Ok. Who should I hire"

"Jon Gruden (with Bruce Allen)" "No, let the GM pick him" "No, bring in Brian Schottenheimer (with Marty!) "No, we need Holmgren"...

"Uh huh. And Jason Campbell"

"Keep him. It's the line that sucks" "The line isn't the problem. Campbell's got to go." "Trade him" "Cut him now!"

And so on
