Longtimefan 10-13-2009, 09:18 PM Being a long time fan and supporter of the Redskins, and having the opportunity to speak with many others like myself, espically on game day, I get the feeling the psyche of many DC fans has been damaged. We suffered the loss of two Baseball teams and it took more than thirty yrs. to get another franchise after the last one moved to Texas.
It was a long and painful time trying to get over the dismay of not having Baseball in the nations capitol.
Fans here really love the Redskins, and when I say damaged psyche, we put up with a lot, trying our level best not to alienate the powers that be for fear one day Daniel Snyder might pull a Bob Short, or a Robert Irsay, and we wake up one day and find out our team will be moving to LA. This may sound crazy to some of the younger fans that are not old enough to remember Baseball leaving Washington twice, for some of us oldtimers we realize it could be a legitimate concern. Of course we pray to God this will not happen to our football team, but memories of Baseball is still (after all these years) still fresh in our minds.
TheSmurfs22 10-13-2009, 09:19 PM Stop going to games, stop buying gear and stop giving Snyder your money. That is how it is going to hurt him. Until this happens he is a happy man.
warpaint 10-13-2009, 09:26 PM They must have changed it. There was a sentence about Snyder taking in the kiester and blowing his wife schlong...only not in those silly words.
So that was actually put on his profile buy a hacker. I thought it was copied and posted just for here. If so lets get that guy to hack in to Danny account and freeze his account until we get rid of V.Cerrato.

I heard a rumor, don't know how legit it is, that Snyder could actually play a big role in a franchise move to LA. Supposedly he owns (through Six Flags) a major plot of land that is considered a prime location for a stadium. I mean I don't think he has any plan to move the Redskins but still I thought it was interesting
Anyway, as someone who has been a fan for, well, a long time, I'm wondering if in previous lean times (the 60s for example), there was the same backlash or was there not because there weren't the same means of communication that there are now.

Fans are reluctant to atempt at following his thought process if he gets the feeling of being undermined, or underapreciated. He may resort to the same type knee-jerk reaction to the fans he does towards his coaches. I'm praying he'll eventually hear the cries of the people.
Move the team?
..............Blaspheme.........

Probably the only way many of us could make a clean break from Dan without a feeling of guilt.
I guess one of the best things we can do is post and email everywhere we can. voice our displeasure with the way the team is being run. I haven't been to a game in two years cause I don't live local nor do I have the budget. but I am starting to light up every board I can and comment on every blog post and online story that allows it. I don't know what else to do.
We can only hope that everyone will voice their front office displeasure in every means possible

Wow that just gave me chills.
Going to games is okay imho because tickets are sold out allready. But dont buy tickets from Stubhub, buy from craigslist or ebay. Wearing brown bags to games, however; is a great idea. Not buying anything at games INCLUDING BEER is a great idea. Only buying knock off Chinese jerseys on eBay is a good idea. And keep posting disappointment comments on messages boards is smart. I listen to a lot of sports radio and fans finnally seem to be calling up and voicing their concern, usually in Richmond no one calls (including myself), so start calling and ALWAYS include some disappointment in the ownership in addition to whatever you might you have to say.
I think just dont stop. I mean look what complacency has gotten us. Look whats saying danny s. wants whats best, he wants the same as us, has given us. Look what saying well cerrato has made some good draft moves in the later rounds, lets not think about the other things has done. Look what saying hey EVERYONE admits the oline is the biggest weakness lets just ignore drafting there because jersey sales take a huge hit if we do has brought this team.
Go to Kings Dominion and Bush Gardens not Six Flags. Buy knock off Redskins gear online not the genuine products from Redskins Stores, redskins.com or even cheap little nick naks like koozies and decals from grocery stores.
Fuck Authentic. Buy Knock Off, if you really love this team. Not just for the rest of this season but until we are legit contenders or ownership has materially changed. If you think any royalties may end up in dannys pocket dont buy. When in doubt just move on.
If you can Stop Caring thats the biggest way to be heard. Thats the hardest thing to do, but maybe the most meaningful. Start routing for you back up teams.
Support your passion not the ownership!

Snyder would be an idiot to even consider moving to the team. He'd better pay for some bodyguards cause there would be an all out riot in DC.
