This plus all the storage space.
Christ I still try jam a cartridge into my Xbox.
I got the 250 GB HD a while back. Got it cheap on sale.

Without giving anything away (if possible), can you say if there is any connection between Infinite and the original game/Rapture. I have a few guesses but I'll probably have to play the game to see about them.
There is a connection but it's pretty minor and only mentioned on the voxophone. Considering Rapture is post-Columbia, there's very little mention of it.
But something pretty cool involving Rapture happens towards the end of the game.

yeah i use steam for humble bundle games and gog.com for old games... i only buuy them on sale, and usually that means about 50 cents for humble or $2.5 or so for gog.
considering most AAA titles now are either MMOs, pay to win match games (which i was soo over in 1998), or FPS's (which i like, but i don't need to play 40 new FPs's every year), it's been working out alright.

Same here. Pretty much every game I've bought lately has been on sale with the exception of NHL 13, Far Cry 3, Resident Evil 6 (huge mistake but I was desperate at the time), and Bioshock Infinity.

bioshock is probably worth it, and the new rome total war probably will be too... but there are so many indie and good games from the 90s. and i mean, the new wasteland and torment games are only $20. kronos is $20 (think new battle isle/M.A.X.), shovel knight is $10 (mega man-ish), and they have teams that'll stand up with anyone.
part of the indie games explosion is the unity engine that got a LOT better over the last few years. it'll do anything and it's like $1,000 to start, which is much better than the $100,000+ unreal id etc used to charge (unreal is now $99 + 25% of all profits over 50k, meaning that you've either got to REALLY want what they have, or you're making a very small sales FPS-ish game).

speaking of which, dirtbag - if you want, you can pledge to shovel knight and they'll actually mail you an envelope of signed dirt... not weird at all.

In regards to the new Bioshock, though I usually feel that the 1950's themes are overused in games the early 1900's are a lot more interesting if for nothing more then they bring older worlds to life that a lot of us only know in boring and depressing black and white photos. On top of that they're not overdone in the video game world.
In the meantime I'm also playing the Walking Dead which I bought a while ago but never really got around to playing. Suffice to say It's actually easy to see how it was worthy of the game of the year awards it won.
