I wonder if a case could be made to draft Golden Tate in the second if he fell?
No.
Seriously, no. We don't need more young receivers this year.

That's a joke right?I sure hope so, this is the second time I've seen his name brought up....unless we're looking for a top notch handball player, Jake ain't the guy.

If we made a play for Tate, I'd imagine it would be at the expense of Randle El's roster spot. Not at the playing time of Kelly/Thomas/Mitchell. As far as we know, Moss is still blocking them with his replacement level play.

The shoulder thing with Bradford is getting a bit tired. If he's given a clean bill of health it's a moot point. Like SS said, if teams didn't draft players with injury histories there would be no draft. At this point in their lives I don't think there's a player out there without a history of injuries.
Thats a bingo.
In the meantime:
Gailey trading for Campbell?

Jason Campbell | Redskins | Interested: Bills?, Rams? Top Email
We continue to be interested to see how Jason Campbell fits into the Washington Redskins' long-term plans at QB, given the likelihood that they will draft a gunslinger this April.
A rumor that's been gaining some momentum this week has the Buffalo Bills trading away Donte Whitner and a draft pick in exchange for Campbell, according to Jason Reid of the Washington Post. This one could come down to the wire as the 'Skins get a better idea of how NFL-ready the blue chip draft prospects are, or how comfortable they'd be with Colt Brennan leading the team.
Last week, NFC East blogger Matt Mosley raised the idea of a Rams-Redskins deal involving Campbell:
Matt Mosley
Campbell could be available
"I'd be curious to hear what Spagnuolo thought of Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell at this point. Campbell's a restricted free agent for the Skins, but I'm sure Mike Shanahan would listen to offers."

Are you guys freaking morons? Did you even watch a single Redskin game last year? Our quarterback was getting tackled as he was dropping back to pass. How is drafting an unproven rookie quarterback going to improve this situation. You cannot compare the current Redskin situation to the Jets with Sanchez and the Ravens with Flacco. Both of those teams have a solid base around the quarterback and in both cases Sanchez and Flacco do little more that manager the offense. Campbell is not an all-pro, but right now, he is the best option the Skins have. Draft a quarterback at #2 and groom him. The first round pick has to be a franchise tackle.

The first round pick doesn't HAVE to be a franchise tackle
It's guaranteed that our o-line will not be the same as last year
It's also shown that sometimes Campbell didn't get it out when he HAD time, or move around enough to get out of harm's way
Campbell didn't get the most help from the o-line and maybe receivers (harder to tell from regular game tape) but he's no future HOF even with that.. not likely even pro bowl

I am decidedly undecided about the #4 pick. I think I am leaning more and more to the grab a QB while we can crowd, and maybe my Redskins history is leading me to that. We have been fortunate for the better part of the last decade to have to bookend OT's in Samuels and Jansen. We used high picks for both. What it gave us was average standings every year, so if we upgrade our line without grabbing a solid qb we may never be in position again to get the qb we need.
