Redskins trading out of the 4 spot?

^Funny thing is that it's possible with all of our current picks. Tennant could be picked up in the 3rd, but if that is the case we could trade next year 2nd to draft him in the 3rd this this year.

^ I don't know...I expect Okung and Campbell to be gone pretty quick.

^ Some believe Campbell will fall to the second. But if he doesn't fall, change to Charles Brown USC.

Of course this could be a year where we see 7 ot gone in the first round. They are that good to warrant 1st round picks.

You know it seems that I and several others have repeatedly advocated taking a QB in the 1st (I lean toward Bradford-slightly, SS33 leans toward Clausen-by a large margin) and addressing the OL with our 2nd round pick and beyond...yet all that seems to get through is "Take a QB!!

So since you want to ignore the O-Line what are we going to do with your pretty boy Bradford?

Whatever the FO decides i'm with, I just hope the people who are saying pick BLANK aren't the same people who went to see the Skins at camp in preseason and came back saying everything looks good because if you are you can't evaluate SH*T based on your post you had me thinking we were good this year & we went 4-12.Not sure if you're targeting me with your comment, but based on what I posted what was incorrect:

Are you guys freaking morons? Did you even watch a single Redskin game last year? Our quarterback was getting tackled as he was dropping back to pass. How is drafting an unproven rookie quarterback going to improve this situation. You cannot compare the current Redskin situation to the Jets with Sanchez and the Ravens with Flacco. Both of those teams have a solid base around the quarterback and in both cases Sanchez and Flacco do little more that manager the offense. Campbell is not an all-pro, but right now, he is the best option the Skins have. Draft a quarterback at #2 and groom him. The first round pick has to be a franchise tackle.

I am decidedly undecided about the #4 pick. I think I am leaning more and more to the grab a QB while we can crowd, and maybe my Redskins history is leading me to that. We have been fortunate for the better part of the last decade to have to bookend OT's in Samuels and Jansen. We used high picks for both. What it gave us was average standings every year, so if we upgrade our line without grabbing a solid qb we may never be in position again to get the qb we need.

I understand what you're going through. One day I'll think that Campbell could be the next Schuab and we should whatever we can to support that possibilty. Obviously one of the most logical ways to do that is to draft Okung.

Then I have some days where I think Campbell is basically David Garrard where the only way we have a chance to win Super Bowl is only if everything goes absolutely perfect. I mean you saw it with Garrard in 2008. After a pro bowl year the team struggled at the tackle position so they thought all right lets sign a top tier LT and draft two promising young tackles. Unfortunately the result was quite average when it came to the passing game. Running game, awesome but passing wise not so much.

Then I think well the Falcons didn't do much work on their line and did awesome drafting a QB of the future while implementing a competent offensive system, but on the other hand the Dolphins went out of their way to fix their lines and went from 1-15 to a playoff team but they lucked out when Pennington got released, then again Campbell could easily be considered on par with Pennington during his first season with the Dolphins.

At this point my mind is a mess to the point where I just want to see what the new regime does and support it so long as it's within reason, which is what will likely be the case.

I think SS mentioned "addressing the OL with our 2nd round pick and beyond" would be the answer of what we're going to do. You're simply re-inforcing SS's point, all you got from his post was "Take a QB".

I was high on the Skins after going to camp one day. Let's be real, you don't see a lot nor do you do real in depth evaluations. Further, the 4-12 season had a lot to do with coaching, players out of position, injuries all along with talent level. We are all just fans giving our best insight and dumb-ass opinions, in the end that is why we aren't getting paid the big bucks. I still am gonna tell you what I think, and why I think it, after that it's up to you to do your own evaluation and tell me why I don't know squat.
