Stop the Madness, T.O. should be a skin (but he's not, he's a Bengal)

T.O. was interviewed on a local (Houston) radio station this morning for a good 15 minutes or so and he sounds really together and well mentally. At least he sounds that way. I guess I have never really listened to him for that long, but he seems mature and well for a guy that has a little history of acting out or instability.
Maybe he has matured a bit over time.
I am becoming more interested in him as a possible Redskin, at least I am warming to the idea.
Every used car looks and sounds good on the lot when its for sale.

Its not until you get it home and then the wheels start to come off.

Yes, let's "stop the madness" and ditch the notion of signing yet one more over-the-hill player that wants Fort Knox money and one that is also a freakin’ head case. Have you all not gotten sick and tired of the daisy-chain method of filling the Redskins roster?? How many more times will it take for everyone to realize that peeps like T.O. seldom work out well for the ‘Skins. Enough of this crazy talk already…jeeze.

Everybody knows that the gold isn't at Ft. Knox anymore.

T.O. would not be here to be the number 1 option, he is however a person that will push competition for the better. I want him here at the right price.

It's a new start, a new decade and a new era. Both MS and BA have had some degree of success in the past bringing various types of players in. So, let's give the FO of BA/MS a clean slate and let them bring in who they want. It is just as bull headed to say "how many more times..." when this FO hasn't brought in peeps like TO to the Skins before.

And a side note, Mike Shanahan will bring in more than his share of peeps like TO if his Denver Days are any road map.

Maybe so, but we've had new regimes before and everybody said it would be different. Until we take the field and change the previous culture that practically ruined a proud franchise, I'll stick to my guns in resisting the likes of T.O. In response to your side note, I hope you're wrong as it will only prove that the team as a whole has learned absolutely nothing from past mistakes.

How would bringing TO in for a 1 year vet minimum deal be repeating the mistakes of the past? a mistake of the past would be bringing him in for a 5 year 50 million dollar deal

Not so much the money if he can be had for a vet min., but bringing in yet another once great player that is a locker room cancer. Look, it's not that difficult to understand. This team has signed guys in the past that were great...for other teams. When they get here, they cash their check and it's all over. It amazes me how so many forget what they said about T.O. when he melted down in Philly and how he became a distraction in Dallas. You all hated him. But if he can be had for the vet min., oh lets get him, he'll behave here. I hope that our new coach and FO get it right this time and leave morons like T.O. alone, and rid the team of current morons like AH.

LMAO... We would be one of the biggest sports stories of the NFL season if TO becomes a Skin. DM and TO again would dominate the headlines and the Eagles and Cowboys games would be hyped beyond all recognition, and this team if we win would draw huge national ratings and allow me to catch more games without leaving my newborn and finace at home to go watch!
