51 players...
I thought it was 53 on gameday minus AH would equal 52 right. School me so I dont feel like a fool.

Is anyone else just absolutely disgusted with DM5's play?warpaint 12-10-2010, 01:28 AM 51 players... I thought it was 53 on gameday minus AH would equal 52 right. You must not watch this team on a regular basis if your just blaming it all on DMc.. Yea he's played pretty Avg this season but who does he have to help him out? CC is amazing but he's not a huge threat to any D and Moss is getting older and older. No QB would be dominating with this group unless it's Brady or Manning IMO NO NO NO NO. Stop right there both Brady and Manning fold when they have real pressure coming from up the middle and on the edges. D.Mac has been shitted on his whole career for stuff he cant control. I want him as my team CAPTAIN and I hope he comes back next year. I just cant see a lot of your thinking here as a Skins fan. We asked for Cerrato to leave and Danny Boy to take his hands off the team. Danny Boy finally does it we still have a little rift raft left and everyone expects 10 years of neglect to be fixed in 7 to 10 months. The reason we are in this position is because D.Snyder thinks like us he is a fan. Now I am so hopeful to the future with this team the reason being is I think this dude has finally got it. saden1 12-10-2010, 02:17 AM New team, new teammates, new offense...I'm cutting him some slack for those reasons. Not to mention the fact that we have Santana and co dropping balls on the ground or have them bounce of them for INTs. Next year I expect him to be on fire. GTripp0012 12-10-2010, 03:39 AM McNabb has been pretty much what I expected, although refreshingly durable for some reason. That brittleness was the first thing that came to mind about McNabb and it's been more of a minor continuous issue. It does appear our starting QB is going to make 16 starts for the third year in a row, which is no small feat. McNabb is an average player. He wasn't always an average player, but he is now. Next year, he'll likely still be average. He's worth about what his contract says he's worth. We have much bigger fish to fry in the offseason than McNabb, in part because we didn't use that pick we traded for him to solve those issues. The biggest difference from the Campbell era is that there's no outside hope (for me) that McNabb might somehow become the franchise in 2013. He is about as good as his level of play, which I hope is close to what we were expecting when we picked him up (perhaps with fewer INTs), because he's been healthier than we could have reasonable expected. SolidSnake84 12-10-2010, 06:45 AM I've said it over and over again. While I have the utmost respect for DM and what he has done in his career, the bottom line is that Philly knew he was on his last legs and despite the fact that his last season was good in PHI, they knew he couldnt be counted on for the future. Donovan is nearing the end as an elite QB, and i'm sure he can hang on for a few years and be a Mark Brunell type player (doing enough to win, veteran smarts, etc), but his elite days are over with and he would need all star players like he had in PHI to even resemble his former pro-bowl self. He doesnt have that here, and he won't. It isnt a knock on him or us, it's just our team is not like Philly. We are better off trying to keep McNabb for one more year, and drafting a QB to learn the system while we beef up the O-Line... warpaint 12-10-2010, 06:48 AM McNabb has been pretty much what I expected, although refreshingly durable for some reason. McNabb Is a average player running for his life. irish 12-10-2010, 07:02 AM DM has no running game, terrible WRs and a crummy O line so its tough to look good or make anything happen. DM is past his prime but if he had some weapons he'd be playing much better. backrow 12-10-2010, 07:04 AM He hasn't earned anything other than my nick name for him; #2 + #3! Dirtbag59 12-10-2010, 07:12 AM DM has no running game, terrible WRs and a crummy O line so its tough to look good or make anything happen. DM is past his prime but if he had some weapons he'd be playing much better. Neither do the Colts but their offense still functions. And before you call me crazy remember this is a team thats ranked 32nd in rushing. Their starting Left Tackle is a 6th round pick who's playing next to an undrafted free agent LG that was so good, we decided to cut him during his rookie year. Not to mention their receiving corps is going down faster then the Lusitania. Imagine what would happen if that description matched the Skins personnel. Now obviously we can't expect McNabb to put up a 90 plus rating with some of the problems we've had on the offensive side of the ball, but I'm pretty sure we can expect a passer rating above 80. Especially considering the system he's in as well as the fact that he does have a decent receiving corps. Usually a good QB can cover up a lot of deficiencies. I hate to break it to everyone but we're not going to have a line that reads top 5 pick, 2nd rounder, 1st rounder, big name free agent, 1st rounder. Fortunately we might be able to patch up the receiving corps through free agency and take it to the next level but still. I certainly expected better then 12 TD passes especially given all the red zone opportunities this team has had. htownskinfan 12-10-2010, 07:40 AM After the houston game I was so pumped that we finally had a good qb,but as we all know now Houston's pass defense makes everyone look all pro.Mcnabb since then has looked JC like. The problem is how I see it,Snyder wants to win now and will not draft a QB to "groom".Looking back now I wish we would have kept JC and or drafted bradford.I wouldnt care if they let Mcnabb go,just about any journeyman QB could put up his numbers,Grossman included. |
