The Broncos should have kept Tebow and Manning should have went to a team that truly needed a quarterback. How do you get rid of your young quarterback who had a winning record as a starter and made a playoff appearance in exchange for a aging veteran who missed all of the prior season with neck problems? It doesn't make sense and I don't see any sounded minded GM making this move.

When that aging vet is considered possibly the greatest quarterback of all time, that's how you do it.

Really? you don't see a sound minded GM considering moving away from a qb who in one NFL game completed 2 whole passes, for one of the most proficient passers ever? It doesn't make any sense at all?
I would submit that the Broncos WERE "a team that truly needed a quarterback" instead of a HB/QB option.

I'm kind of jaded about the whole thing. I mean we've seen a million times where older athletes basically put it all on the line with an ill-advised comeback. Consider that there were people saying at the beginning of this year that they reccomended Peyton take another year off to heal to 100% before coming back. Where are those people now? I think his health is truly a big mystery. Fans can say he passed all the tests, well sure people pass the tests when they have concussions, other serious injuries that they keep from the coaches, etc..
But I think Peyton is too smart of a guy for that and I think if he says he can be back to 100% i believe it. It isn't like when the skins picked up McNabb and the entire country knew he was shot, i think Peyton might surprise us all this year...

Also why is the thread titled "Manning Chooses Broncos"? Why not "Bronco's Choose Manning"?

So how about Tracy Porter who was the guy who took away Manning's chances of winning a 2nd super bowl is now on the team with manning so that they could win their 2nd super bowl together...

I don't know about you guys, but I hope the Lord smites me down before I ever see Eli Manning in a Redskins uni.
