Russell Wilson has the highest qb rating since week 9 of last yr,higher than Peyton Manning, just something to think about

i have not gotten to watch a lot of wilson but a qbs particular success depends a lot on the surrounding cast and whether the offensive scheme is tailored to the qb's skill set ... just hard to take comparable qbs and say what qb is better in a vacuum bc the games and stats arent earned in a vacuum.

i am disappointed rg3 is getting gently placed under the bus by a growing segment of skins fans.

he is in year 2, after major reconstructive knee surgery . . . hes going to be here for a long long time and i have no doubt that given the right team we will win a superbowl with him under center.

Russell Wilson likely will go down as a draft day steal, but there was no way the Skins were picking him as their starter, so it's just not a valid what if. If there is one team that came away from that draft with a legitimate what if question it has to be the Browns.

You cant just say anybody won after a year. You gotta look at the career and circumstances. But Russel Wilson is proven now. No question. RG3 is proven. But the challenges are different for both. Right now, if Seattle is not in the superbowl, its a failure. flat out failure. If RG3 doesnt play all 16 games or re injuries a knee, its a failure.

How you think that I have no ideal? He's a 3rd round pick making rookie wage scale money in his 2nd yr,how is it a flat out failure?
If you wanna say that about Peyton Manning and the Broncos, with all theyve invested in manning and the weapons surrounding him, then I'm with you

I dont see it with Wilson. Why is it not a flat out failure if were not in the Superbowl? We gave up a lot more to get Rg3,I dont see your reasoning

He certainly is learning a lot about how fickle this fan base is. I will say at the beginning of last year I was all about let's wait and see, but by the end of the season I was starting the off-season mancrush thread.

Hard to say where he will end up, but I tend to believe it will be closer to mancrush thread status then the wait and see mantra.

If this team is 1-2 and not 0-3, then I seriously doubt there is even a discussion about RGIII. The simple sight of 0-3 is enough to put fans on suicide watch. But it's funny the expectations people have of a guy eight or nine months removed from a very serious knee injury/surgery.

That's just crazy talk. RGIII can run for 100 yards and three touchdowns with two broken legs.

Wilson is pretty good but he's not on the level of RG3, Griffin is already a top 10 QB in the NFL, Wilson is not yet. Luck is better than Wilson

Maybe last year.

personally I didnt think RG3 coming off surgery would be able to lead the team to a SB this year.

Wilson is surrounded by a great team, an awesome defense, and a great home field advantage. Plus his front office isnt restrained by an almost 20 million dollar cap disadvantage and a Father/Son offense scheme who cant get on the same page.

Maybe last year.

Maybe later this year would be a better time for this thread.. Right now comparing RGIII to anyone that he was in a peer group with last year is unfair.
